Why do people dislike Hinata?

Great art, I don't think she'll look like that though. She'll probably look like she does currently but with even longer hair like Kushina!

Hinata is my favorite <3
~ People make these wars over sakura and hinata just over little things they don't like in characters lol. Its kishi's characters so just deal with it. All characters have flaws, but it doesn't mean people should completely bash a character over nonsense. I like Hinata because of her great character development that kishi gave her. She not as shy and as insecure as before, and she is also a lot more confident in herself and her abilities to protect herself and those she care about. Hinata is also a hyuga so she has the same abilities as neji pretty much. To be able to stand in battle as long as she did with neji in part 1, proves she was stronger than Sakura, Ino, and Tenten who would probably stand no chance against her gentle fist at the level they were during the chuunin exams. But that doesn't mean I don't like sakura, tenten, or ino. I actually really like Tentens character lol. I don't hate any of the characters, I just like some more than others. Kishi could have easily made sakura, ino, tenten, and many other character OP and skillfull in part 1 like sasuke was, but choose not too in order to create a story with good development. I would easily like a different character if kishi had different character personalities and development for his manga instead of what he has now. So my reasons for liking Hinata is all thanks to kishi lol. Also she is a well developed character artistically because her design is different than the average anime girl design I see in a lot of animes. But this is just my opinion on the matter so yea

In part 1, I like hinata during the bee part. Where hinata used the protective 8 trigrams 64 palms which she created and blew away the bee boss.
in part 2, pain arc she suddenly stood out while everybody just watch and protected naruto at the risk of her own life.
She is a brave character and truthfully she proved she loved naruto with her life, she doesnt just say naruto kun all the time.
I get how alot of people hate her because of the pairing wars.
They say how she is useless and gets in the way of narusaku.
but in truth sakura rejected naruto so many times and naruto still loved her so naruto is extremely committed . But seriously i dont get how naruto could love her even though she hit him so many times .
Sqkura siders also say sakura is more "useful"than hinata that hinata just says naruto kun all the time but seriously, take the ratio of the number of times sakura has cried to that of hinata.
I am not rrying to pick a fight with sakura lovers but can everybody just like the character for who they are and not because of their love life?

Bear in mind, just because you like this character and other dislike, doesn't mean they're wrong, it's just opinion based. To respect why they dislike that character needs a valid reason, and I don't see pairing wars for example a valid one.
I dislike Hinata because of her character, same time I have a little portion of respect to her.
First of all. She's shy, that's actually a trait I like. However her obsession with Naruto is the main reason why many dislike her, including me. She becomes selfish too much because of that, which I dislike. Nor I like someone who can't defend itself and always just wants to win someone's heart. Hinata can defend herself, fair enough, but she's still obsessed with that fool as her long life dream, she isn't ambitious enough, to me at least.
However her honesty, is something I like. For I hate nothing more than lies. This is something I always appreciate.

Actually I am neutral. My above post was just to group of people who hate her due to the pairing wars.

I like hinata because she has the ''plot'' and doesn't hit naruto for the comic relief and she cares for naruto-kun.
On the other hand, there are some narusaku fanboys in this thread that had made response saying ''one dimensional'' character which is hilarious, do me a favor and slap yourself with a big mac with cheese.
