Chapter 1;
A New Beginning:
For as long as time remember, there has always been war...
Although different periods of time has brought different eras of peace,
An underlying cause for hatred has always been there lurking in the shadows,
Always present, always abiding its time to spring forth once again to disturb the hard-fought peace...
This tale is that of the forgotten, in a distant place far, far away.
This is how it all began, 7000 years ago...
When a defining change was just about to happen,
A different course, in a different place than what we eventually has come to know as the "Earth."
A change that would make two worlds collide, the starting point for a new beginning...
This is the tale of Jedi Master Revan
And how he came to be known as the Hero of Time,
The first wielder of the Master Sword.
This is how it all began, a long time ago...
In a Galaxy, far, far away.

"Are you sure about this Master??"
His voice was clear, determined, but the young man, the young apprentice, had a reason to be concerned, to be doubtful. This was after all, the one moment the two of them had been waiting for, and everything depended on the two of them being able to seize it.
"Positive... You have nothing to worry about, Revan..."
His Master was right, but this moment, this mission was too important to take easily, too decisive not to take serious. He was nervous, for the first time in ages, but he just could not let the fear consume him. He had to remember his training, this was what he had been preparing for, his whole life. This was the chance to end it, once and for all.
"We're here. Now, let me do the talking if necessary, and we should be fine. Just remember Revan, never let the temptation of the Dark Side consume you, no matter what happens..."
"I won't, Master Marek, I will remember all you have taught me..."
Awaiting their spacecraft's pressure door to unfold out on the hangar they now found themselves located in, Marek proceeded to turn off the engine and unbuckle his seat-belt. It was time and he knew it. They had finally arrived at the destination after only one hour's travel. Orbiting some place just outside a large green planet, the spaceship they now had docked in, was dark and mighty indeed as the last rays of the sun shone upon it, before sneaking itself from beyond view behind the planet in front of them. Walking out of the spacecraft, the two Jedi were met by a peculiar robot offering its service, asking them kindly to follow its way. Revan was still only in his early 20s, while his Master, both more wise in age and experience, had already hit his 40s... They both had two long light-brown robes on them, with hoods hanging down their backs. Both light in skin-tone, both with brown hair. Marek with a longer hair-style, while Revan had his hair trimmed down to a minimum, with a small ponytail tied up, coming out from the back of his head. Marek had brown eyes, Revan had green, Revan was clean-shaved, while Marek had a trimmed-down beard to accompany his facial structure. Following the robot down a hall, the two of them then entered a room with dimmed-down lights and a fountain, of all things, in the middle of it.
"We are here, please enter inside and await further instructions..."
Doing as told, the two of them turned around to face the robot, enfolding their hands beneath their robes as they did. A silent mood filled the air, as the robot left the room, leaving the door shut gently behind him.
"Well that was easy."
"We haven't even started yet young apprentice. Come, let's get to business."
Drawing their lightsabers, a buzzing sound was heard as the two Jedi were ready to begin their mission. Revan with a green lightsaber, and Marek with a blue.
"Are you ready??"
"Yes, let's do this..."
Stabbing their sabers through the door, they then began to work their way through. A little while later, the two of them were heading down another hall as Marek could feel that they were getting closer and closer, and not long after, they finally found themselves in the cockpit-room where a man with a dark long robe and a hood over his head, stood...
"So you have finally arrived... Leave us."
Waving the armed men in the room off, the dark-hooded man then turned around as his dark red eyes came to view.
"So this is Darth Demise, the Dark Lord of the Sith, I presume??"
"You are right in your claim young one, however..."
Drawing his red lightsaber as well, the man had a vicious smile on his face.
"Neither one of you will live long to remember it!!"
Coming straight for them, the two sides were about to clash.
"Are you certain this is how it happened?? Have you laid out every detail, everything you can remember??"
"I already told you Master Hylia, this is how it all happened!! I tried my best, but it was still not enough, Demise he... He still got away and I just, I-..."
"Okay calm down, I know this must be hard for you..."
Having arrived in a different location entirely, Revan had the face of a man in despair. He had barely managed to escape the spaceship alive, but not without making sure that Demise's escaping spacecraft had a tracker on it first.
"Master Marek, he..."
Sitting down in a chair, Revan clutched his face as another Jedi Master, named Hylia, was walking back and forth in front of him with a concerned look on her face. Having arrived at the Jedi Temple, Revan was quick to lay out the corresponding details of how the mission took place.
"Aaaaaaaaaargh!!"
Shouting out, the Dark Lord swung his sword rapidly as the two Jedi quickly parried to defend themselves. The battle had only just begun, but the two of them immediately realized that this wasn't just any Sith Lord they were dealing with.
"You will die here, just like all the other Jedi will eventually!!"
Coming in even faster, the Sith Lord knocked Revan off his feet causing him to fall backwards as his sword flung through the air, landing several meters away from him. Using the Force, he reacted equally fast to getting back his sword by using a Force Pull as he was knocked to the ground, enabling him to quickly get back up on his feet again just moments later.
"Take this..."
As Revan was distracted, Demise used the opportunity to Slash out at Marek with his sword, and by doing so, the Dark Lord managed to get some space between them as he sent several lightning-bolts out of his finger-tips towards him. Defending himself with his saber, Marek was quick to parry the incoming attack as Revan came flying in from the side, attempting to hit him while he was still open. Not even hesitating for a second, the Dark Lord steered the lightning attack towards him instead as Revan was flung backwards with a mighty electrified push, landing on a platform below their deck.
"So Master Marek was killed in battle... This outcome is very unfortunate..."
"This leaves us with no choice Master... I have to go after him, after Demise, I have to stop him before he can do more harm... We are the last of the Jedi, we-..."
"The Era of Jedi and Sith is coming to an end. The Force is getting weaker, and life today doesn't need us to watch over them any longer, to act as their guardians... However, you are indeed right, young apprentice, Demise must be stopped at all cost..."
"But how? Without Master Marek-..."
"I will have you appointed to Master, just as an apprentice is suppose to become once the time is right..."
"Appoint me to Master??"
"Yes... This will be the last request I will ever ask of you, to end things once and for all and bring on deserving peace to the galaxy. You are now our final hope, Master Revan."
"Yes Master, I will do as you say... Thank you."
Getting up from his chair, Revan seemed confident in what he now had to do. Looking back at her, he knew that everything relied on his success now. Even if the time of the Jedi and Sith was coming to an end, the last Dark Lord of the Sith still had to be dealt with for true peace to ever happen.
"I believe it is time for you to bring out your creation... It seems like Darth Demise is heading to the outer parts of our realms, to a solar system far away from here. A place where neither the Jedi, nor Sith, has any connections. I can only speculate what his intentions are, but that place is far behind us in technology, in time... They won't know who we are. This planet called "Earth," is nothing like we've seen before. If you go there in your quest to hunt down Demise, you might not be able to return again..."
"I understand... I will bring out the my creation and finally put its strength to the test. It should be able to match the lightsabers by now. After all, I've been working on its design for a decade, taking most of my inspirations into making it from the lightsabers themselves, to add to the finishing touches... So this place, "Earth..." My destiny is to go there?? Is this how it will all come to an end, how you have foreseen it??"
"I believe so, yes."
Placing her hand on his shoulder, her will had already been passed on to him.
"Master, nooo!!"
Finally getting back up on the platform above, a terrifying view met him. His Master, impaled upon the Dark Lord's lightsaber, as he slowly pulled it out of him, watching as Marek fell to the ground.
"The end is near and a new dawn of the Sith is on the horizon..."
"I will get you for this!!"
Running over to them, Revan came charging in as the two exchanged a few rounds with each other, as Demise eventually got some space between them. Turning his back on him, he then started walking away from the scene as Revan lifted his Master up in his arms.
"Revan... It is up to you now to finish-... What we-...Started... Don't let-... Anger-... Ever consume-... You."
"Master I will-... I will..."
Becoming one with the Force, his Master was no more. Picking up his Master's lightsaber, Revan quickly left the room to catch up with the Sith Lord. Seeing him boarding a spacecraft, Revan only just managed to throw a tracker on its right wing as it left the hangar before he could do anything else about it.
"Hmmm... Well then, I should get going."
Just about to leave the Jedi Temple, Hylia then grabbed a hold onto his arm.
"Master Revan... May the Force be with you."
"No, May the Force be with you, Master Hylia."
Taking his leave, Revan went to make the necessary preparations. Not long after, he boarded the small spacecraft he had arrived in as Master Hylia saw him off as he proceeded to leave the Jedi Temple. With the planet far behind him in the distance, he was now beyond turning back. This was his mission, his destiny, what he had been chosen to do. He had lost his Master and good friend Marek, so it was all up to him to track down the Sith Lord Demise and bring peace to the galaxy now. He couldn't fail, no matter what happened. Setting the course towards the tracker's signal, Revan then rose from his seat as he went to the very back of the spacecraft where his room were. Once there, he went over to a container of some sort, opening it up by the push of a button as the top-lid slid open. Out from it rose a small platform and on top of it rested a sword, gravitating in the air before him. Its blade had a bright color, its hilt was dark blue. This was Revan's own creation, something he had spent a whole decade on adjusting and finishing.
"I suppose I should give it a name by now..."
Pondering on the question for awhile, he finally made up his mind.
"Ahh, the Goddess Sword, that should be it... The Blade of Evil's Bane. Let's see if you really are a match for the lightsabers after all..."
He was finally ready to test its true powers out in battle, and with it, he was now one step closer to fulfilling his uncanny destiny. Holstering the blade on his back with his green lightsaber still hanging from his left side, Revan then went back to the cockpit as he set his eyes on the transmitting signal's course once more.
"Just where are you going and what is your plan??"
Having finally reached his destination, Demise's spacecraft had landed on a planet on the edge of the outer realms of the galaxy, in a place where no Jedi nor Sith had placed foot in Millenniums. Revan could just not understand what he was looking for there, what he would gain by fleeing so far into unknown territory. He had an unnerving feeling about it all, but he knew he had no other choice than to follow.
"Not far now..."
He thought to himself, as his spacecraft finally entered Hyperspace. Reappearing just outside the mysterious planet's orbit, Revan's eyes enlarged by the magnificent view that met him. The planet seemed so peaceful, so full of life. Like nothing he had ever seen before. Taking a look at the monitor screens once more, he then steered the spacecraft towards the beacon's location. He was close now, and all that remained was to land the spacecraft safely on the ground. As he approached the atmosphere and his spacecraft began to rumble widely due to the force of the planet's gravitational impact, it was then that he noticed; something he should have noticed long ago. Not only was this feeling he had strangely unfamiliar, but his connection to the force felt weak. Much weaker than it ever had before. This was do or die, if he only could land safely now, then the worst parts would hopefully be over.
[...]
The dark clouds carried heavy black rain with them, and they had already gathered themselves on the skies above, just about to let loose on the silent earth resting underneath. The landscape below was filled with nothing more than some steep mountain slopes, a few lonely trees, and a dark lifeless pond. A thunderstorm had also begun roaring and several thunderbolts struck down towards the ground just as the rain began to pour down from the dark clouds above. On the ground, a rumbling wormhole suddenly opened up in the air beside one of the burning trees that had been lit on fire by one of the thunderbolts previously hitting the ground, as a blue-eyed man in his early 30s, suddenly got tossed out on the ground with the hole quickly closing in behind him. He had blond spiky-hair, a green uniform, but more importantly than anything else, he had a determined look on his face. Getting up to his feet, the man looked around, scanning the environment he now found himself stranded in.
"This place... It feels so distant, yet so familiar. Where could this be, or better yet, when?"
Walking a few steps forward as he brushed off the remaining dust on his clothes, the man stopped by the pond of water laying in front of him as he gazed upon his own reflection in its shiny surface.
"Seems like I made it, just like he said huh."
Mumbling some words, the man did not manage to think through the situation properly as the sky above suddenly split open and a large obstacle came crashing down towards the ground just some 100 meters away from him.
"A meteorite?! No, it's definitely something else..."
Hurrying over to the large obstacle in front of him, the man paid close attention as he looked down the crater that had been created by its impact with the earth. As the smoke finally settled, he was just about to take a closer inspection when a small piercing sound could be heard and a door suddenly got busted open from what seemed to be some sort of a spacecraft. Readying his defenses, the man watched as a powerful presence filled the air. The man exiting the large object in front of him wore a long brown robe, covering his identity from the world with a hood dragged over his head. Touching ground as he approached the astonished man witnessing the scene, neither his hair nor his face could be seen from underneath it. Walking all the way up to his face, the mysterious being suddenly halted only a meter away, as only his green eyes could be seen from beneath his hood.
"Is this... Earth??"
Speaking his first words, the mysterious being seemed calm, yet resolute, as the man looked at him with an uneased expression on his face. Gathering his thoughts, he then came up with the only answer he could think of.
"Y-es?? And you are??"
Looking at him, a smile formed on the mysterious being's face as he reached up to his head with both his hands to slowly remove the hood that he was hiding underneath. As he finally revealed his identity to him, the man immediately got the feeling that this was someone he knew he would have to approach with full precaution.
"My name... is Revan, and I am looking for someone."

Author's Note:
Where to begin?
Where to begin?
I'd like to take some time to talk about this project, what I've done in the past, what my future plans are, as well as some other things, so if you are curious, then please read on, if not, then just jump to the final paragraph regarding the release date of the next chapter. Thank you.
This story will be a short one compared to my previous long term work,
You must be registered for see links
(which went on for about four long years here on the Base and spawned over 60 chapters divided across four main stories and two chronicles to complete the full package), and will only consist of six short chapters in total. Beside that, I've also written a One-Shot on here called
You must be registered for see links
, and the reason to why I'm mentioning this is that even though all of these stories are separate by nature, they all exist within one singular Timeline/Universe, being connected to each other over a course of 7000 years. Now, it's not necessary to have read any of my previous works to understand the story taking place in A Link Through Time, as in a matter of fact, it is written in a way to ensure that any and all newcomers will grasp the entirety of it, and truth been told, at this stage, newcomers are really all that matters to me (except for a few faithful ones lurking around here somewhere). Even if this is the case, if you want to grasp the full story of this Timeline/Universe and how everything is connected to each other, you would have had to read all of the stories taking place within it, but like I said, the overall story doesn't really matter as much at this stage, so about 99 per cent of this story should be read-able to anyone with a little hint towards the rest of the Timeline being thrown in at the end (for those remaining faithful ones of mine). And yes, I hope to get as many as I can for this ride, as in the end, it will be one of the last things I release on here. Hope you'll enjoy if you decide to give this short tale a try and that this first chapter of it was enough to give you a taste for more.As for the next release, well... Chapter 2-5 is already done for this story, as only one chapter remains to be written. However, I won't be releasing them all at once though, as I need to take my time carefully planning the other stories I'm working on to ensure that the gap between each release won't be too far apart. I've already started working on two other projects of mine, The Legendary Sage of Six Paths (some of you should be quite familiar with this idea as I've mentioned it a few times up though the years) & Recollection of the Past (unknown to most if not all of you), both to be released very soon as well, and also, I'm working on a collaboration fic that I'll be doing together with Germanicus later this year when we get the time to do it, but as of now, it's on hold at least until December. Then beside all this, there's Three Kingdoms that I've shelved the 1st chapter of ever since 2011 now, and that I'm not really sure what I'll be doing with at the Base just yet. As I mentioned in my "retirement post" not long ago, I might end up taking that project elsewhere or be putting a lid on it for good. So anyways, to sum things up... Beside this story, I got two other projects and a collaboration work coming up that is more or less certain, as well as another one that I don't know what to do with just yet. For those who read the final chapter of TLSoK, you might be wondering what ever happened to the story I was going to write about the 3rd Wielder Aragon. Well truth been told, I decided to take a different course, and that is where Recollection of the Past comes in, as it will be sort of like a, well, recollection of all the stories taking place in this timeline (at least the wielders of the Master Sword).
Chapter 2 & 3 of A Link Through Time will be released later this month when I get back home again (by the end of October around the 25th), and I'll notify everyone who's kind enough to give this first chapter a read (and a comment!). Until then.
