Byakugan and Elemental Chakra

Can Byakugan distinguish the nature of the chakra that's being gathered, before the actual jutsu happens?
What's your opinion?


We know that chakra sensing users can know the nature of one's chakra and even the chakra that a person is using to a certain jutsu. But as far as we know, byakugan only sees chakra, not it's nature. Have I missed something, or am I right?

well he can see the the persons chakra nature as shown in shippuden movie but thats filler so who knows

I'd say no, you only have raw chakra until you change its nature.

Well i dunno about that, it is never stated in the Manga.
They only said they could see the flow of chakra. nothing about elemental chakra .

but they said in the Shipuuden movie but that is a filler (in my eyes)

well, i will say yes.......
as a genins chakra nature can be predicted by only his basic jutsu's or just by feeling chakra, my mean to say when a ninja is first time told about his/her element then how sensei know about that, if predicting chakra nature is so easy then most probably byakugan can tell the element of chakra,

From what I have seen and read, Byakugun can tell the chakra out put of a person or tail beast, but it has not ben cleared up the if they can distinguish if they can sense the chakra of a total strange. Hinata from experience can see Naruto Narural chakra and tell if the Nine tail chakra is coming out and maybe see the Sage chakra, but that all from experience in having seen the different chakras Naruto has.
