this is the ONE PIECE section if you don't read it GTFO

As of 2013 One Piece sold 300m copies in Japan, so it's safe to say that at this time the number is 315m

that means that statistically there are 4.2m complete 75 volume sets in Japan

there are 125m people in Japan, which means that technically (by pure numbers) 1 in 30 people in Japan has the complete collection of One Piece Volumes

there are 49m households in Japan, which means that technically (by pure numbers) 1 in 11
households in Japan
has the complete collection of One Piece Volumes

or to put it another way, there are 2.5 volumes per capita of One Piece in Japan

though the numbers are distributed this neatly ofc, but that just means even more people own the parts of the series, I think it's amazing how huge this manga is

It will be more than that unless less volumes were released this year.People in japan are buying not just the new Volume books but also they are buying old ones simultaneously.Isn't it already established in japan that every family has a collection of One Piece Volumes till date ?

Yeah I converted a while ago.

OT: Yeah that's pretty amazing and it's kind of sad that I don't even own a single volume of OP. :/ I wonder when the popularity will reach it's peak.

I don't think so.

You have no idea how true your words are. Here's a one piece evidence (no pun intended):

It's from a blog, where the writer had went to Japan. Right click on the image to get the link to her blog. It's quite interesting.
