I understand that Kishimoto doesn't know what to do with Sasuke's character, and he's not very good at tying up loose ends.. but this is kind of ridiculous. He could've gone about this revolution in a million different ways, but he chooses this? It just seems odd, and it's lazy writing.

By Sasuke's current logic, he should've just gone about becoming a leader in a more, uhm.. subtle way?

When it comes down to it, every character is exactly what Kishimoto wants them to be. What's going on just kind of seems out of character for Sasuke.

He ruined Nagato's evil charm. He turned Obito from horseshit into horseshit and dogshit. Even Madara cracked in the end, admitting that maybe Hashirama was right.
