Makes you read..? Surely you haven't read Hunter x hunter manga. And to answer your question it was the government. Those guys who were wearing that amour breathing suits. I dont care what Law did I liked him for his power from the start. But that chapter just made me hate the WG even more

Did anyone else remember ROMAN EMPIRE- LEAD POISONING while reading this? Anyway, great chapter. My only complain is oda puts too much tears and weird faces, that kinda turns the sad moment into the comedic one, which kinda ruins it for me. So I'll give it 4/5 rating.

For everyone who's complaining about Oda teasing us with a book on Doffys face. It isnt teasing. He fell asleep reading a boom on trevance , the white city where Law is from and reading into the place.

I was expecting Oda to show us Law's flashback and Oda delivered. It's almost every time I see a flashback full of cruel memories in One Piece, we saw Soldier's past, we saw flashback of toys but each and every time it makes my heart race and makes my heart resonate with the feelings of the characters, maybe it is magic of Oda? I don't know.
I don't know why but this flashback kinda reminded of backstory of Winery Rockbell and her parents from Fullmetal Alchemist, but it was heart-wrenching nonetheless. It will be interesting to see how Doffy reacts to the news that Law has broke his rule of not going against one of kinsmen, his brother in this case to be precise.

Again the world government did not actually do evil but held back information and caused all the ruckus, the problem again is not the WG but rather the tenryubito.

And woah the Donquixote pirates have certainly lost there fitness touch.

Brilliant chapter, One Piece flashback nostalgia. This was an old fashioned backstory. Funny that this happened while some characters are under fire in this section for being shallow.

Also I like the Baby5 and Dellinger fanservice in these flashbacks.

5/5. Simply saddening, really. Law is... Man, i can understand why he's quite cunning and rebellious. Donquixote family is awesome, very interesting and unique! I have so much to state but since i'm on my mobile phone it's kinda hard to type a wall of text via this :'(
However, great chapter, Oda. And the cover story is getting clearer. When it talks about 'port', it reminds me of Rocky Port incident by Law. The truth is ringing near? B-)

I'll b damned, that Oda, he sure knows how to knock em out of the park for sure.

Backstory in a backstory, loved it way to show off those great penmanship skills Oda.

Amber Lead poisoning, yes Vasu we rember the Romans(they had to make food spicier due to diminishing taste sensitivity if memmory serves well. Anyways I think there might b more to that 'he shot me with lead bullets' line by law a couple of chapters back so future MD's hook us up someone theories pliz(don't try too hard but some effort lest layman like us just go and say maybe law is somewhat highly sensitive to lead after his miraculous recovery from ALP).

Law's past was sad indeed but with how he acts I cldnt help but feel like damn dude's invincible so I guess its good to see these sides of characters it adds more to them and for him makes Jim not b like an empty shell when he is distant n reserved.

Awesome backstory can't wait for more n in the mean time come on fic writers do some LawXRobin stories(nothing with too much smut just the emotions of two pple with similar saddening pasts connecting will do).
