It makes no sense because why the **** would they allow him to be leader? If anything, they'd be fighting to get him out of the leader position. The #1 rule about being a good leader is having your people love you and respect you How can they love you and respect you if htey hate you? It makes no sense at all. If anything, Sasuke's becoming the hokage would cause the village to rebel against him, subsequently causing bloodshed, and we're having another war and we're back at square 1.

Which will lead to chaos, anarchy, segregation and mistrust amongst people again, democracy should have been instilled in order to change the system.

Actually Kishimoto takes is parallels to extreme, it's always black and white and never the shades of grey. Why can't an amicable solution be reached.

In the end it is puerile of me to read to much into the manga and compare it with real life, just read it as is and be happy.
