Hey guys, haven't shared in a while so here you go
The End Game:
Sasuke’s Answer:
Once Itachi had ‘passed away’ for the 2nd time, Sasuke was left conflicted, burning with rage against those who caused his brother much suffering, yet full of love and respect for his brother who educated him on why he lived his life the way he did.
Sasuke poised the following questions to himself:
1.
2.
3.
These three questions are linked to the answers which are pivotal to understanding Sasuke’s goals now regarding ‘’Peace’’.
Clans, Villages and Shinobi’s:
One of the main reasons why Sasuke was conflicted was why a genius level Shinobi like Itachi, would give so much for the sake of the Village of Konoha regardless of the fate of his clan.
Torn by the tragedy of his clan, and the feelings of his brother which made him make the choices he did.
Sasuke resolved to put full commitment to whatever answer he would come up with once he had received his answers from those he felt could answer him, the previous Hokage.
Sasuke’s initial question to Sarutobi Hiruzen was interesting, by asking the former Hokage whether what Itachi told him was the truth, he received a very intriguing answer:
That was a very well worded answer, as it not only demonstrated that Itachi was not bound to his clan so to speak due to no other reason, but by his own self definition of what a Shinobi and a Village is and what they stand for.
By carrying out his mission, he illustrated that he thought similar to the Hokage’s in that definition of a Village and a Shinobi
That self-definition was explicitly explained by Senju Hashirama when Sasuke asked him ‘What are Shinobi and What are Villages’:
However the difference in this was Hashirama acknowledged the flaw in what ultimately represents the current Village system of Konoha, [which was imitated in the other lands]:
To summarise, Sasuke understood that what the current understanding universally is that Shinobi are people who endure hardships and trials to achieve what they desire, such as Itachi and Hashirama who desired nothing more than peace, and who killed/murdered their friend/family to achieve that goal.
However, Hashirama believed that the Village system would knock down the boundaries between the clans, which throughout the years proved to be incorrect.
Sasuke with these answers in mind, set himself a new goal that he would endure as a Shinobi, that like his brother would free him from the bound of his clan’s hatred, and also free him from the bounds of the current system.
That answer was :
1.
2.
Sasuke as a Shinobi, has chosen to endure the hardship similar to Itachi, to be labelled a criminal in order to reform not only Konoha but the whole Shinobi world.
Sasuke wishes just as Naruto does, to free the world of Darkness, (Ironic coming from Sasuke who was once engulfed by hatred, and is still thought of as a criminal)
This Darkness lies in the current system of the Villages and Lands, let me take you back to a pivotal speech by Nagato aka Pein:
1.
2.
3.
Nagato was a perfect Illustration of the flaws of the current system, something that not only Sasuke acknowledges but Naruto also, however their ideologies are different.
Let me refer to the following ideologies as ‘Yin’ aka Sasuke, and Yang Naruto.
Taoism is heavily referenced thought the Naruto series, no more so than with Sasuke and Naruto.
Naruto is the light who inherited the will of fire aka Yang, and Sasuke was, [please note the past term ‘was’], the darkness which rejected that will of fire aka Yin.
Let me give you a definition of the Taiji symbol which make up the Yin and Yang :
In terms of Taoist cosmology, the circle represents Tao - the undifferentiated Unity out of which all of existence arises. One cannot exist without the other due to imbalance.
Sasuke’s goal is correct as the world does need to reform, however the manner in which he is pursuing it is incorrect, however that is where the term, ‘Yin and Yang’ come into play.
Taking you back to Peins speech, Naruto already remarked that Jiraiya had entrusted him with attaining peace, but when questioned by Pein, how would he achieve this, Naruto’s answer was simple:
Now it would be incorrect to compare the current timeline Naruto’s mentality to the one shown in the picture, however what we should notice is that this was the first moment in the whole of the series, (and arguably only moment), that Naruto was not only beaten physically, but his spirit was destroyed due to realisation of the enormity of the task he placed on himself.
In the current timeline, Naruto is now more aware of the ‘real world’, and understands the complex repercussions of every action, however one can argue that since Yin cannot exist without Yang.
I interpret this as the following:
Naruto’s goal for peace is correct but flawed, Sasuke will explain why he is flawed, and why he disagrees with Naruto pointing out the flaws. This will resound deeply with Naruto who will agree with many aspects of Sasuke’s ‘revolution’, however he will still disagree with many aspects also.
Naruto will then reiterate to Sasuke his goal, and new way to attain it, filling the flaws in Sasuke’s plans, and pointing out his flaws.
This will be the key factor in realising, that on their own they are imbalanced and imperfect, however when they are together:
The Yin and Yang would create a perfect system together.
This leads me now to Ninshuu.
Ninshuu:
Ninshuu was a set of teachings of peace and understanding which began with Hagoromo Otsusuki, who distributed Chakra in order for people to be linked and thus understand each other.
Please see the following picture which illustrated it:
But wait, that looks familiar:
Yes, it was almost identical to how Naruto, [who has become most the skilled chakra wielder in the series excluding the Sage of Sixth Paths], was illustrated to show he distributed chakra between the Shinobi Alliance.
This is EXTREMELY important as you will now see.
Naruto as a Jinchuuriki shares many traits of the Sage of Sixth Paths, especially his ability not only share chakra, but to specifically match each and every person he is distributing it too, however he also managed to do this:
1.
2.
3.
4.
What this was, was Naruto sharing his feelings through the his chakra which he shared with everyone during the war, via the CHAKRA, he DISTRIBUTED, everyone was able to UNDERSTAND HIM.
Very very very similar to what Ninshuu was designed for.
Not only that, one only has to look back and see how many times that Naruto has communicated via chakra without actually speaking:
1.
2.
3.
The common denominator in this is the Jinchuuriki , or rather the Biijuu, which ties in to what I believe will happen.
The End:
As I explained Sasuke needs Naruto to establish peace and vice versa, however this may not mean they will exist together or even exist at all.
One or both of them will die, however prior to this they will establish Ninshuu and create the catalyst which will reform the whole world.
This will be done by ‘eradicating the biijuu’, this however will not mean they are killed, but rather, their monstrous chakra will be split infinitely and distributed between the people resulting in everyone developing a ‘link’ with other, causing them to have a greater understanding of one another.
Through this distribution, the sage’s goal of peace all those hundreds and hundreds of years ago will be established and it will result in the beginning of a new era.
