Not really, his genjutsu may work similar to Shisui's, upon activation it stays on until he specifically dissipates it. Also, he isn't suppressing their power, once Chibaku Tensei is used, the asteroids created stay together by their own gravity.

wrong the epicenter was the first thing created...... He strained himself to make the gravitational pull stronger.. the black orb is the core/epi-center. He had to intensify it through chakra which is why when he started straining and bleeding the pull got stronger and the rocks got bigger that were sucked in
