Be aware of spoilers.
I, like many others, are under the impression that the Tenryuubito are cruel people. I think this can be said without a shred of doubt. They're unreasonable and seems to lack common sense, yet they've now shown to actually regard something out of value, and that is the so called National Treasure. To me, that doesn't make any sense.
They give away millions, and perhaps billions, of their own currency, the beli, just to buy, for example, a mermaid. Yet, again, they seem to value something. Despite no proof, we can assume that they attained this 'treasure' during the hundred year gap, and that the two hold a deep connection to each other. Again, this is just an assumption on my side, but I find it to be most logical, so I will go in that direction.
However, the majority who ends up with the same train of thought, vaguely points to the last named weapon, the Uranus. There are both arguments for and against this idea, but I'm for one is against it. Personally I find it to be very uncreative, plus, not to mention, illogical. Others point out that it could simply be a poneplyph, which makes more sense, but still leaves me with the taste of uncreativity, but that's just me.
For one, a weapon would not, and I quote, shake the world to its core. As I've mentioned in other threads, it's illogical to think such a thing. Certain countries today could wipe us all out if they so wanted, yet people couldn't care less. You must be quite fragile if such information is all it takes for you to panic. Another argument against it being a weapon is that, yes, it's a weapon, simply as that. If my impression of the Tenryuubito is correct, then they're not capable of having a weapon in their hands. It's like giving a kid a revolver. Not a good idea.
So I'm going in a different direction this time. Whether I'm right or wrong about the following theory doesn't matter, I just want people to see new light every now and then. There's more to One Piece than poneglyphs and weapons. I hate wild guessing, but oh well, here we go. I'm going to keep it very brief.
Was it really a coincidence that the National Treasure and the 'Ageless Surgery' were mentioned in the same speech? I don't think so. The 'Ageless Surgery' must've been used on somone for it to actually be a well known technique, but on who? This is where my theory comes in. Regardless of who it may be, what matters is what affiliation or group this person comes from, and that'd be the Ancient Kingdom. The ruler, an important figure, or just a normal civilian, it doesn't matter.
This very person is kept hostage in Marijois to this very day, because of his (or her) immortality. Whatever reason the Tenryuubito have; getting information out of him, a sign of mockery or punishment, or just simply for the LOLs, it really doesn't matter. Perhaps the prisoner, if he has a high status, is just considered a victory trophy for the Tenryuubito. It'd suit their cruel nature perfectly, in my opinion. For all we know, it could be someone we've heard of before, like Joy Boy.
If this ends up being true, then imagine how tight this person is locked up. After all, this man could be the only living person who knows everything about the hundred year gap, the location of the Ancient Weapons, and the name of the Ancient Kingdom. I'm sure Doflamingo would want all of that, as he's aiming to become the Pirate King. If Dressrosa truly is a parallel to Alabasta, and Doflamingo to Crocodile, it's possible that he wants all three weapons, not just one, unlike Crocodile.
"What's more, if I'd had the power of your Ope Ope no Mi that day, I'd have been able to use the Treasure of Marijois and hold the reins of the world. Such is the power you hold! The ability to transplant even personalities!" - Doflamingo's speech to Law.
If Sea Prism stones, or the same material as the Poneglyphs are made of, are involved in all of this, then there would be no way of getting the prisoner out, unless you had the power of the Ope Ope no Mi. That's all I have to say about this. What do you think? It crossed my mind a couple of days ago, but I didn't have the chance to make a thread about it before now. Thanks for your time.
