Pein vs Itachi.

With the artifacts that Itachi had, pein would probably loose the fight, but if you consider the susanoo without the artifacts, then pein could defeat him, as he could suck the chakra that forms the susanoo, i guess. Or maybe just toss itachi around with the Deva path...
It would be all up to kishi's will, as they are both sick or whatever, and to the unfolding of the story
If itachi knew pains secrets-which is most likley- then itachi would win in like 30 seconds. And ill explain like this
Step 1) pop MS
Step 2) Use susanoo
Step 3) Look at were all the chakra is comming from aka follow the trail
Step 4)???
Step 5) poke pein while he is hooked up
Step 6) profit

It wouldn't be that easy, as you can see by kakashi, who had his sharingan on and couldn't find out where pein was. That's the whole point of the chakra effiters, they only work if you are linked to them.

Itachi would DESTROY Pein easily.
Susanoo+ spiritual weapons = 1 hit kill and unbeatable defense.
Those bodies can be absorbed easily, and besides, they aren't fast enough to dodge Amaterasu.
Only God realm could be a slight problem, but I think Susanoo would kill him off.
After that, only the most useless pain remains, who can't do anything productive, meaning itachi won.

That's why the Byukagun who has far greater insight wasn't able to see the chakra.
Preta Pain or Deva Pain absorb Amaterasu. Chibaku Tensei>Susanoo. Susanoo is going to be crushed by mountains worth or rock or at the very least cause Itachi to be stuck whilst his energy gets sucked out by Susanoo's life-force.

Rinnegan > Sharingan.
I think the Rinnegan can see through Genjutsu and break the effect. I would go with Pein, but if itachi wasn't sick or wasn't being consumed by disease, then i would pick itachi.

I wasnt aware that Susanoo could block Chibaku Tensei because it isnt a direct attack.
Pain would most likely be able to keep up Chibaku Tensei better than Itachi could keep up Susanoo because one takes massive chakra and the other takes life force AND chakra.
wot so far pain > all, maybe madara can kill him with the teleport tec, even madara said "the invencible pain".
