Naruto is the faster than Might Guy in 8 Gates. The only time Guy is faster than Naruto is when he uses Night Guy/Night Moth.

what do you mean madara blocked some of 7gates gai's attacks? if i remember well he blocked all of them negg difficulty and even told him that if he was not using 8gates he was just wasting his time...
also i feel a huge injustice has been done to sasuke's foot speed because in early shiddupen he moved so fast that he "simply popped behind he's foes" before they could even react.

Yup, I wasn't hating on Gai, it's just didn't make sense. He failed with Juubidara even worst by making him not use wood clones, wood jutsus, katon, Rinnegan jutsus (Deva path, weapon, summon, absorbing ninjutsu), or Susanoo when we saw Edo Madara and alive Madara use those jutsus or abilities. The Juubi would only further boost Madara's powers so I can't could any battles against him as an actual win when there was obvious plot restrictions.

That said, Madara really did not have the time to weave signs, at a point he couldn't even move is arm fast enough to block, that's when his staff bent and he acknowledged that Gai was distorting space with his speed. He could have used limbo though, but limbo is not speed.

Considering said kunai was thrown by someone in the 6th gate it's not that bad.
