If a bands debut album was pre-2000, I most likely hate them. Some exceptions are Modest Mouse (greatest band ever ) and Rammstein.

Best bands are RED, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin. But RED is beasting. All their songs are the best. They have no bad songs. Look up 'Breathe Into Me' on Youtube. That song will pump you up.

Hipsters are lame for ruining every genre they touch.
Modest Mouse are wack.
Rammstein are wack and not trve industrial.
Liking music that is only post-2000 is as lame as the kids who only listen to music from the 60s to 90s.
Indie is ghey, vapid drivel. Indie rock essentially took away everything punk left intact in rock n roll - the soul.
Only good indie is post-indie that got co-opted with emotional hardcore during the 90s, i.e. American Football and Mineral.

I like In Rainbows but other than that I don't like radiohead.

If I were to dub a modern band who is the best I'd say Coldplay. Simply because they've been around a long time and still release good meaningful music and still make the radio without conforming their style, headline festivals, and have massive world tour and fans. Every other band is trying to get to the level they are at.

Though I feel I make better music than them as well as many other music artists, but they're doing nice as far as legacy goes and overall impact on modern music.
