WOW! Alot of you are saying the same thing over and over and over again! Like, "who cares" or "what does it matter". Clearly the OP cares... So I'll be so kind as to offer my assumptions...
You'll note that OP is saying that the
past Ichigo is drawn in an "ugly" stylization.
I agree with OP... The drawing in the earlier stages of the manga were a little awkward indeed...
As for the OP's post... I agree with the above! He/she isn't commenting on the level of attractiveness of ichigo... more so the style of drawing...
To ANSWER OP
Styles of drawing change over time... we as artists find more efficient ways of drawing... more... composed more or less detail etc... think about how long bleach has been going for now... as a human his art is bound to change...
Look at naruto from chapter one to the latest chapter... You'll notice Kishimoto's style is alot more "sloppy" and more expressive overall with lines... which in my opinion give it more character... in recent chapters however... his style has become more uniform and sterile!
Summery
Kubo's visualisation of the Bleach universe has simply changed over the years with his experience as an artist changing with said years...
Hope that helps!
