Kishimoto trashed and trolled Madara. His plan came out to be a fraud, he was manipulated by BZ, he was owned by BZ through that backstab when Chojuro of all characters soloed him with a sword stab prior to that happening, and Kaguya had the final fight with Team 7. Naruto was the savior as usual.

He was defeated in a very embarassing way. Even with Rinnegan, he couldn't notice a black goo that isn't suitable for fighting back stab him. Pathetic.

It's a given that people voted for Tobirama, considering that if Hashirama wasn't allowed to give Madara the title by just his say, then he wasn't allowed to give the title to his brother just through his say either. The only reason Tobirama had the authority to give the title to Hiruzen through his say was because he was about to die and the Hokages need to be replaced as soon as possible. They were in the middle of a war and far from Konoha- not an opportune time for elections.

Not that it matters in the least whether or not people voted for him. People sided with the Senju, even the Uchiha sided with the Senju over their own leader who just wanted the best for them, Madara. And, of course everyone else was content with the Senju bros ruling as well. The general village population favored both of them over people like Madara. There's also the case of Tobirama being the one to advance Konoha the most with the laws and regulations he set in place. Due to him, Konoha became the strongest country. In the databooks, it was also stated that he was positively received and viewed as someone who was "courageous". Plus, nothing considerably bad happened during his reign (no rebellions, nothing like that).

so basically, you can't show Tobirama being voted in, even when Hashirama's story basically said it was handed to him.

what you guys fail to understand is that no one is going to be inclined to follow Sasuke any more than they were willing to follow Obito or Madara. Sasuke can kill as many ppl as he like; whether they are a Kage or not, ppl will be a lot more inclined to kill Sasuke than following him. The alliance won't give in to the whims of a criminal, let alone a dumb one. You don't have to be a Naruto fan to get this.

And naturally Tobirama got voted in after him. You have 0 proof that Hashirama handed him the title, especially since it would go against the rules Tobirama set.

Besides even madara knew Tobirama would get chosen to rule after hashirama, despite hashirama's desires.
