Indifference. Guys this man's actions are becoming more and more suspicious. On one hand he's supposed to love the tailed beasts yet on the other hand it was clearly visible on the last chapter that he could not care less. And ok, you might say that he can't be all drama queen for everything that happens but it's a fact that he didn't show the slightest interest in the sealing of the Bijuu, nor anger, nor sadness nor anything. Just look at his face:

This face does not show any emotion at all. All it shows is just suprise because Sasuke proved to be stronger than what Hagoromo expected. Is that really the person who is known for being so loving towards the tailed beasts?

so you expected for him to cry ? dead people don't do that
Lol I did point out what expected, didn't I? What are we talking about is complete indifference.
He convieniently ran out of time when sasuke started a revolution...
That's a fact too, although plot may have played a great role in that.

He knew what was going to happen but wanted to see what Sasuke would really do. So in the end he realized that Sasuke was also flawed and realized that Naruto was the only one who could stop him. Why would he be shocked? He is the sage after all.

I'm not talking about that, I'm reffering to how casually he remarked Bijuu's recapture as if it was of no importance.

I think he firmly believes that naruto will triumph so there is no need for despair. Plus, just because great leaders don't show emotion, doesn't mean they are unconcerned. He's the Sage. Decorum and posture are his things.

And again I don't talk about playing the drama queen or crying his eyes out but for a man knowing to be so caring towards the beasts you would expect the slightest emotion, at least something.

He has been observing things for who knows how many centuries. He has seen how the bijuu were mistreated earlier.

People should stop with these "the Sage is suspicious and evil" threads.

Well some threads were very detailed about that. Unless, you have read them, you can't just dismiss them like that.

OMG! Just give it a rest with "their's something up with the Sage" threads.

Look, the guy isn't like Naruto, he isn't the passionate always looking for the good sort of person. His face doesn't show emotion well just because of the way it's designed. Remember when a simply happy smile from him made everyone think he was plotting evil?

He's more methodical and practical. He sees the opposing view points and though he may agree with Asura's side, ultimately he knows it's not his place to make that choice anymore. His job was to stop Juubi/IT, but now he's leaving the rest in hands of those who have to live on in the impure world.

Actually you can. No matter how much of a BS fanfic someone puts up in a forum post, if at the end the conclusion is wrong, there is no need to consider any of it.

I did read that long time ago and that's pretty much not what's happening.

And I'd be glad if you didn't make assumptions about me. But keep clinging to the "Sage is evil" theory. Smh..."the Sage gave an evil smirk, he is the final villain", "he doesn't seem surprised, he is up to something"...

I did not assume it, I said "unless" and therefore I set a condition, an hypothetical. And in any case, no, my arguments are not as shallow as one making an evil smirk, it's just his general style and how controversial and mysterious he can be at times.

We'll see but for the time being I guess I'll have to wait to find evidence with more credibility.

lol u can't judge the sage....he has seen countless battles, siblings killing eachother, all the hatred thats spread in Naruto world, he has been there since the beginning and have witnessed countless scenarios...if he started getting emotional or too attached to each and everyone of them, he would've been weeping for centuries.

The sage might already know the outcome of this battle, but either way he is indifferent to it cuz the world will not end with their battle. The cycle will never end.
A Tyrant will always rise to subdue the world and a Hero will always rise to protect the world. Thats how it works.
