Yes it is forced.
While I realise Sasuke vs Naruto has been foreshadowed since ages, I still don't understand the way it has been brought about.
At the end of the day it made sasuke's goal look like Madara, which is basically subjugation of will of the people according to his whims.
I really don't understand what Kishimoto wants from this plot development.
But I'll have to appreciate the chapter, it brought back some new life in the manga.

Hopefully Kishimoto won't drag this for too long.

It was forced since, after all the foreshadowing we had through all these years of reading the manga, it could have been pulled off a lot better.

Yeah, I totally agree with you, just seems Sasukes goal is just like Madaras but we've all been waiting for this fight So I don't mind If It's forced or not

The perfect timing for this fight should have taken place after kage summit arc.

Not really.
It was long-expected and foreshadowed as Kishimoto kept Sasuke's goals hidden all this time.

Nope, not forced. So much foreshadowing about this in the previous chapters of this arc :coffee: especially when he said he wanted to burn down all the bijuu.

It's force, but expected. Perhaps it was the timing that did it? Also how Sasuke flawlessly used Chibaku Tensei, and owned all of the Bijuu quicker than Madara. :|

Since Sasuke became "good" it was foreshadowed that he had something sinister in mind. He said that he wanted to change it all, He doesn't want to take the freedom of people, but rather wants to give everyone freedom by taking out their leaders.

Of course Sasuke's goal is like Madara's. Naruto's is too. The means through which they hope to achieve that goal are what matters. I don't think it's forced at all tbh.
