From the recent thread and the old threads, i have noticed that some amongst seem to be simple minded (not in a insult way) but in the way that they think from a set point of view, and don't try to change or look from another point of view, that Kishimoto writes his manga in.
Seen too many people say "why was Naruto nice to obito, he killed alot" "why was kakashi nice to obito, he killed alot" "why was Hashirama nice to Madara , he killed alot"
^^^^^^ That is basically Raikage's thinking (that had also nearly caused wars in the past history of Naruto, were it not for the sacrifices and the logical reasoning made by other villages, to endure.) However, you see in Naruto there are things called "Bonds" (don't worry they exist in real life also). The reason Naruto/Hashirama were not "pissedd off" at those villains, is simply because that is kishimoto's message. Notice, never once did Naruto or Hashirama say "oh come back i forgive you for every killing you did".. no. They simply ignored the actions and looked on, while acknowleding those people did do terrible things, and thus making them suffer the consequences.
They are bonds, that have been witnessed in real life and so on. Lets use a son and a mother, many incidents where the son turns out to be a criminal, yet the mother still loves him. Are you going to say the mother is an idiot? no..... She loves him because thats her son. Why did Fugaku ask Itachi to take care of Sasuke? Because thats his son. Did he trip about Itachi killing them? no.
BONDS are the reason why "forgiveness" and other things exist in Naruto.
Obito/Naruto's bond = Same shitty past, yet 2 different paths taken
Sasuke/Naruto bond = rival, friends who cared about each other, became broskies (even if your brother turns his back on you, you don't turn your back on your brother) < that is Naruto's mind set.
Hashirama/Madara's bond = Same story, understood each other to an extent, became brothers, had shared a dream, 2 sides of the same coin.
Conclusion:
I know this thread is all-over the place, but my main point is. Please don't look at the manga from a simplistic Raikage mind set, you'll just end up not understanding the situation. Kishimoto's entire manga has been about "bonds", thats his main focus, his main message, that he had been trying to give out to people since the start. "Don't just throw away your bonds people" or something like that, is what i got from the manga.
This manga is enriched with wisdom, so let us try to become wise.
