He was talking about Sakura, not Hinata, just stop with Hinata

The answer Naruto gave is vague on purpose.....but its obvious

1. Naruto hasn't confessed because he hasn't got Sasuke back (scene with Sai)
2. Kishi has already shown that Sakura parallels Kushina (scene with Minato)

stop fighting and wait for the epilogue......the most important fight in the manga is about to start, Naruto vs Sasuke. Then after that pairing will be decided. But for now, Kishi will troll all of the couples.

ok so it looks like Hinata did protect Naruto two times it's just that i forgot about the second time, also you're wrong because Sakura has risked her life for Naruto during the battle against the Sound Ninja in the Forest Of Death you see Orochimaru ordered Dosu Zaku and Kin to find Sasuke and kill him and when they found him he and Naruto were unconscious and seeing how the Second Exam was Kill or be Killed Sakura knew that they try to kill both Naruto and Sasuke if she didn't protect them so she risked her life to make sure that Naruto and Sasuke would stay alive and top it off not only did Sakura put up a fight she also sacrificed her own sleep to watch over Naruto and Sasuke before the Sound Ninja came, as for Hinata when she tried to protect Naruto from Pain she didn't even put up a fight in Fact Pain took her down in One Hit but i will admit that Hinata did decent job protect Naruto from the Ten Tails attacks but if it wasn't for Neji then Naruto and Hinata would be dead.

Okay, yeah so it was to protect Naruto in the long run, but it was also to protect Sasuke, and not Naruto exclusively. Hinata has exclusively protected Naruto twice. Also I don't think risking sleep, and risking your life are equivalent to each other. I'd risk my sleep for a random person's life, but I wouldn't die for them. Plus this was all in season 1, I'd say Sakura didn't have any feelings for Naruto in season 1, we still don't even know if she likes, let alone loves him this season. She basically told Naruto to risk his life to save Sasuke, so in season 1 Sasuke>Naruto in Sakura's eyes.

Naruto has Story Arcs and Sakura protected Naruto and Sasuke during the Chunin Exam Arc and her view on Naruto changed during that Story Arc.

You're not getting it. Yes, they're the same series, what's your point? Series have seasons. Naruto has seasons. Why does this even matter? Sakura protecting Naruto and Sasuke matters, referring to what? Im lost. If you're saying this is evidence she loves Naruto, no it isn't. The most we know is that she cares for Naruto, as Naruto cares for Hinata. We don't know if he loves Sakura, at most we know that he likes Sakura. But again none of these points prove anything; hell, no evidence in this series proves anything. My ultimate point is that anything can happen, and each pairing isn't more likely than the other.
