Alright, this thread took a very stupid turn. Wow. Lol
This isn't a thread about Obito and Itachi. Just Obito, so I don't understand why the latters name is being brought up.
About Itachi:
Itachi's just an antihero who eliminated all the Uchiha. The adults knew, the kids did not. Don't know why people are saying "innocent women" when they knew just as the males did. That's a little random and doesn't have relevance. Yes, every Uchiha bar Sasuke died. There's not much of an option when a war is going to occur and your clan is going to be eliminated whether you raise your hand against it or not. It wasn't just for Sasuke. It was to keep the Uchiha's honor in tact, save Sasuke (he was the only one Itachi could save ... no other child was offered), and prevent a war. Itachi was actually for both his clan and Konoha- he loved both. He just tried to cause the least damage he could and in this circumstance made a good choice. Yes, Itachi said that he'd sell out Konoha if Sasuke was harmed in any way whilst not being a missing-nin and living in the village. That's fair, considering Sasuke is all that Itachi has left and he sacrificed himself for the 1000s in Konoha. The least they can do is not kill his little brother. Yes, as an Edo, he said he'd love Sasuke no matter what. However, that doesn't mean "I'll approve of you killing 14000 innocent people in Konoha" as some Obito fans are distorting it. Sasuke at that stage doesn't even have the power to destroy Konoha with people like Naruto, Kakashi, 8 gates Gai, and all the other powerful shinobi around. He'd die. That moment was meant to show Itachi's development. He'd done trying to direct Sasuke on the path he thinks is right, it's time for Sasuke to make his own decisions. Nothing bad about that. Saying that Itachi is a true villain like Obito is seriously pushing it and ignoring the context of the situation. Mainly because, Itachi's clan was done no matter what he did. They were sacrificed by Konoha, not him. He just did the best he could and actually benefitted them as well. He also had no real beneficial options, unlike Obito who randomly killed innocents in Konoha for lols with the Kyuubi.
About Obito:
Itachi/Madara fans need to stop. Obito is in no shape or form a pedophile. Every single flashback you get of him is thinking of Rin's memory. Not that he wants to get in bed with her. An Itachi fan posted that panel of when he was kissing Rin's photo and Kakashi was spying on him- he did that when he was 13. They are the same age, as other users have stated. Children have crushes sometimes, that's normal. When Obito thinks of Rin during the war, he thinks of her as something pure. She was a girl who died due to how distorted the shinobi world is. He wanted to change the world for the better, because the light in his life has passed away and he believed that if shinobi were just meant to die like tools, then there is no real meaning to life (which is pretty damn true). Albeit, his methods were extreme. Also, others think of Rin as well, but I've never seen them be referred to as pedophiles. Kakashi and Minato thought of Rin. No one says anything about that. Probably just because everyone is afraid to bash the fan favs. And yes, Obito did bring her up alot, but he wanted to change the world mainly due to her death, not just for her. IT affects everyone, he wanted everyone to be in a dream of ignorant bliss with him. He saw this as the only true way to peace, primarily because true peace in the Naruverse hasn't ever existed and he doesn't have the power of tnj, like Naruto the main character. He also spent a year living in a dark cave with an old man by the name of Madara telling him how terrible the world out there was, while having a waste-obsessed zetsu as his only other source of company. I don't blame Obito for the way he turned out to be honest.
