When I was younger I thought anbus are the weakest konoha ninjas and they always die.. Then it turned out that they are higher than/ equal than jounins.. Wtf

They had their moment vs. the Pain summons. Compared to Gai and Kakashi, they suck ****, but they're above standard Jonin shinobi.

Sentence contruction made it look like Kidomaru was pushed to high diff by Neji while Neji was pushed to high difficulty by Kidomaru. Normally the defeated side is not referred as being pushed to difficulty as far as i know, the winners get pushed if any.

Barriers can also extend underground too. Every barrier barrier similar to that aren't by the surface; they can go right past it.

They didn't have to break the barrier, the barrier wasn't covering the ground. They could have bypassed the barrier through blowing up the ceiling Orochimaru and Hiruzen were standing on.

@bold: How did you come to this conclusion? Just because you don't see it covering the ground it doesn't mean it wasn't.
In that case how do you explain the fact that nobody tried to destroy the ground (inb4 the Anbu are dumb, Hiruzen is not and he had Enma)? How do you explain the fact that Dan couldn't get out from a similar barrier even as a ghost?

Its not a typical barrier. If it was that easy nobody would've bothered to put it up.
We're referring to a plan to murder the Hokage and keep the higher ranks at bay, this wasn't a random spar between Chunin.

I came to that conclusion because the barrier was not shown to cover the ground.
Upon one other guy's post, I started to reconsider, but everyone else was being just as presumptuous as I was.
It is not as easy to say the barrier covered the floor with hardly any evidence than it is to say it was a minor plot hole.
