You honestly believe Orochimaru was retarded enough to forget to cover the floor of his battle field, and that not only the anbu, but Hiruzen as well were all equally as stupid and gullible?

Hey, Orochimaru and Hiruzen are not stupid in any sense of the word.
But... That building did not look heavily reinforced, nor were there Oto guards protecting it. The Anbu didn't even look...

They had their moment vs. the Pain summons. Compared to Gai and Kakashi, they suck ****, but they're above standard Jonin shinobi.

I kinda can, and the reason I can is because I label this a small plot hole. There is absolutely nothing saying that roof was protected.

Or Kishi just didn't think. Is it really so hard to just accept that? That there could possibly a slight plot hole in this series? That it's not a character's fault, but Kishi's?
And before you say I said it was a character's fault (The Anbu's), the whole premise of this thread was as a joke. It was to bring attention to this, yeah, but it matters so little that it can easily be turned into a joke. If you've seen any of my other posts on the Anbu you'd know I think somewhat highly of them.
