I think that pretty much every giant relies on their size way too much. Their size is very helpful when fighting people high RA level or lower, but when people reach at least low VA level, their size doesnt matter that much so they get beaten pretty easily. When Oars.Jr fought the Giant Squad, they got neg diffed because they always rely on their size, didnt spend any time becoming good with a weapon, and when someone bigger than them showed up they were helpless. The only giant so far that might be a good fighter regardless of his size is John Giant.

Dorry and Brogy cut the ocean in half and used a projectile slash to cut open a giant sea king.

That was absolutely nowhere close to the size of an ocean. Didnt Luffy and Zoro do something similar at Water 7?
The water under the fish is split and you cant see if it goes on but from what Usopp says it looked like the ocean was cut well as far as usopp could tell. Also the fact that they broke their weapons and were both injured they could easily split an ocean if at full health and with good weapons.
The laguna was just a wave.

They are still relying on their size, they couldnt do that because they are good with their weapons, but because of their size.

Yeah they do. Giants are nothing compared to the Stronger characters in OP even though an average giant is exponentially stronger than a human. It's much like how a fishman is 10 times stronger but they are still not too impressive when compared to the stronger characters.
Oda has kept giants low profile. For now.

Imagine a giant DF user with any of the 6 super human techniques, or any excelling fighting style in general.

OP, huh? Luffy should fight a real giant soon. I've been thinking about this lately too.
Elbaf? Elbaf will have giants that could end the world cause low skilled giants can cut the ocean in half. High skilled giants could bust up a planet
