I'm going to give you a quick run down of this battle. Itachi and Jman are facing each other. Itachi puts him under genjutsu. Jman has no idea. He attacks. He dies.
Btw you have no point.
1. Tsukyomi can't be broken by the toads. Read the manga correctly next time.
2. Itachi decimates Jiraiya before he can summon anything. This battle is over in seconds.

Actually you just made a good point... My bad. I should've read that with context Lol but regardless of that, I do think that itachi was trying to convince kisame not to fight jaraiya (for obvious reasons)

Why would Itachi want to weaken Konoha by himself and Kisame killing Jiraiya? Lol That proves nothing but how he was protecting the village from being weakened. Kisame took on Bee in his V2 cloak > 4 tails. 4 tailed Naruto almost killed Jiraiya. Kisame alone could kill Jiraiya.

I agree that Itachi could beat Jiraiya, but at the same time we have to realise that Itachi does not have EMS and has a disease. I don't like to bring this up cause of how people are, but Orchimaru knew he was under genjutsu and ws going to break out of it. Maybe Jiraiya would've tried to, but Itachi would just cut off his hands like he did Oro.
I see why people say Itachi is powerful. Don't get me wrong, I see it too. He was first fav when I started Naruto, but people seem to overhype him. It's not like he has infinite chakra and the Eternal Sharingan. He didn't even want to use Amaterasu, but had no other choice.

There's a manga panel right in front of you, at the very least, i think Jiriyah and Itachi would *as the panel says* inflict damage on both sides, or even kill each other.
They're equal but apply different functions while fighting.
