Wouldnt he be able to sense where it is with CoO? Not to mention if he is using CoO he can prepare for when Law cuts him.

Luffy's CoO has waned before. Shouldn't he have been able to locate Doffy with CoO? Or tell when the dragon was about to hit him with its tail? Luffy's CoO isn't that good.

And what can Luffy do to prepare against Law's cut? I don't see Luffy's less than 2 year Haki being as good as Vergo's, who has had it for over ten years, so it's not negating Law's powers. Luffy also can't block it. His only choice is to dodge it, and we haven't see Luffy do anything that would suggest he has the speed to.

Exactly my point. Luffy hasn't shown to use CoO often, he slacks with it.

And yeah? He was able to swing it in time to cut Vergo, who has amazing speed, and Luffy hasn't shown anything to indicate superior speed.

Luffy would use CoO in a serious fight like this. Vergo didn't dodge Laws attack because he got too cocky and thought that he could tank it.

Luffy hasn't shown any greater speed feats than Vergo, and Vergo's speed wasn't enough.

I said fought equally, not getting the upper hand. He was fighting equally with Chinjao in base. When using gear second or 3, he was always kicking his ass

Except nah. Chinjao never matched him in gear second in the manga(only in the filler episode). Luffy only used gears two times in the manga(for riffle and thor) and each of the times, he kicked Chinjao's ass

It's hard to tell in the second page, but he is using Gear 2, you can see the distinct plume of smoke Oda draws for Gear 2 there.s
