Okay so the sage who wants peace hears Sasuke's "true goal" and gives him a power up, if Sasuke's intentions were indeed bad why would he make Sasuke stronger? Logic :coffee:

He basically means he will become hokage and change the system, because in the flashback he cuts off only Naruto

Cuts off only naruto as in killing the child of the prophecy and the one who is suppose to bring a great change to the ninja world.

Sasuke wants to become hokage himself to change the system, but he is also aware that's Naruto's dream that's why he cut Naruto off, Sasuke knows nothing about the child of prophecy.

Because he didn't give it to Indra last time, and the world still almost ended. Giving him the power or not would have the same outcome, but this way he might change his mind. Besides the fact that Naruto could not have defeated Kaguya by himself.

Unclear, naruto with both the powers of the sun/moon would have been way more powerful. However, the only thing naruto would have lack was intelligence. Sasuke's answer was good, reason why the sage gave him power. To become hokage in respect of your brother, isn't evil. But we still don't know the real meaning, so not sure.

What you on about? Hagoromo accepted both Naruto's and Sasuke's goal, all we know is Sasuke's true intention is something to do with changing the system, if his goal was bad Hagoromo wouldn't obviously make a villain stronger.

When did I say Sasuke goal looks bad? What I said that it conflicts with the main characters therefore he will be the final antagonist

u contradicted urself
if Sauke was bad/Evil why did Sage gave him Power

Have to agree with this ^^^^. Makes no sense at this point in time, given revelations by BZ. Pretty much NOT confirmed is more like it.

He could have given Naruto both seals, Kishi/Hagoromo could have easily let Naruto be the new sage of the sixth paths, but he didn't because if you read the chapter where he speaks to Sasuke, he apologies for overlooking Indra and said he should have given both of them the same responsibility and not make one of them the successor. Because of that mistake, war started between Ashura and Indra, this time around Hagoromo is trying to avoid that mistake...

Or perhaps he didn't agree with it, so he gave Sasuke his power to try to end the curse of hatred, started by neglecting Indra in the first place.

That's pretty dumb if Sasuke is apart of that curse of hatred...no.

Sasuke is either good, or he's just gonna do his own thing without killing people.

Again in whos perspective would it be bad to? You can have a different world view. Me using the word villain, which I already apologize for using, wasn't the best term to use. Naruto and Sasuke have different views. Sasuke ideology seems that his should be absolute. His ideas vs Naruto will be the final "conflicting" for the series.

I pretty much agree, they'll have a clash of ideals for sure. It's true that Sasuke isn't all covered in darkness now, but he's still shady. He has ulterior motives and different ways of dealing with things that differs from Naruto's, as seen/ hinted in multiple occasions.

A villain is not a way to describe Sasuke's character. More like an antagonist: someone who opposes the protagonist, and not actually evil.
