Basically, you use your own wind chakra to split wind chakra coming towards you, and then using the wind that's left over in the form of a vortex, you redirect it towards your target. Only one way to really get this jutsu down, making it one of the more dangerous jutsu to learn...

*as the incoming blast of wind comes towards me, i concentrate my chakra into a thin line that splits the attack, and then circles around the blast as the typhoon is created i redirect it towards you*

Not quick enough, you have to take control of the vortex the moment it appears, or else it will disperse like it just did. Try it again, concentrate, but you must do so quickly also.

*using the hand seals i concentrate the chakra the same as before and create a vortex as soon as the two blasts of wind collide and push it back towards you*

This is pretty easy. Concentrate your chakra, and then shoot a gust of wind that gathers up the sand and keeps coming towards me.

Make the blast be able to last longer, and make it so that it's in a circular shape, creating a gust. Also, make it larger. Basically, more chakra, and control it so that it spirals.
