I always found this to be a humorous plot point. I mean you have one of the strongest shinobi in the entire world, and he's still a ****ing genin lmao I mean I don't think you have to become a chunin and then eventually a jonin before you become hokage, just like in the US, you don't have to become a congressman and then eventually a senator before you can run for president, but I'm not quite sure of the rules in Konoha.

It still makes me chuckle when I think about it though XD

it would be funny as hell. there would be no need to give him a team. would the other ninja, except konohamaru even want to fight him? narut is basically a god now, there is nothing they could do to him. i assume he wouldn't use his full power, as he would just end up kiling them. what would be funny is he just activated his power and they surrender. he legit wouldn't even have to move to beat anybody.

Nah, he won't have to take it. It's already been foreshadowed when he screamed at Ibiki about becoming Hokage even if he was a Genin forever.

Besides, it's not like the Villages founder, Hashirama, was ever even a Genin.
