I live in the USA and I was wondering how your countries treat your gay communities.

I know there can be several different views from the same country (live in different parts, gay views vs straight views). I know certain parts of the us are okay with it, vs parts that are very against it. What's your experience with the gay community in your country.

I'm not expecting all positive comments, but please be mature about this. It's okay to disagree with something but don't be hateful about it.

I'm from the USA, and the area I live in is completely cool with homosexuality. You can often see drag queens, and open gay couples walking down the streets (big change from just ten years ago).

How is it in your country? Please refrain from listing the cities you live in.

In my country, it is against the law to marry if you are gay. Its stupid, I know.

I live in the U.S. No gay's in my community as far as I know, but I doubt anyone here would care. Florida is a pretty open-minded place.

In what little time I spent in Mexico, opinions can range on homosexuality, a lot of people in my community have really no prob with it, but there are those people who will openly or privately condemn it. However, I'm not generalizing it to all of Mexico, that's just my experience in my village.

Australia .

I recently read a study that rated countries attractiveness of men, and Australia was rated #1 for most attractive men in the world. Granted it was an American study. Personally I think Germans take this, I love when Germans speak English.

I live in the US.

Some states are starting to legalize it.

My state hasn't done it yet. Oh well

Here the gay communities are not well accepted for there are few of them actually. There are ones with open- minded attitude, but most of the time (nowadays to a larger extent) there is a certain tension concerning this topic. Personally, I don't like judging others as long as they stay non- intruding for me with their ideals ; that is one of the causes of disapproval towards gays. There are conspiracy theories about that, too, so that can also be referred to as a factor for rejection.
I prefer not to generalize the opinions that be in my country, these are just my observations.

Most people here in Australia are either indifferent or supportive towards same-*** marriage. The only reason it hasn't been legalized yet is because of Abbott.

It is written in 'location'. Bulgaria.

Ahh... well you seem to have the right idea about it.

What is Abbott? I know little of Austria.

American here and just talked to some international friends about this topic .... India just reversed it's decision on being openly- Gay; because of religious reasons it is now illegal and in Russia it is outright illegal, can lead to death sentence.

As much as I respect each countries decisions, I can't understand Russia at all. It is clearly causing a lot of harm to innocent people but then again, each country has its own propaganda methods. So I don't know how bad it really is for Russian gays. RT which is Russian news is all I really see from Russia.
