I can't believe it's like 1-3 episodes left :T_T:

Episode was great, 5/5. I hope tenzin isn't going to die but I wonder if Kora's is just going to hand herself over. Why does the red lotus want Kora, do the plan on removing her bending or using her to destroy or "balance" the world back out to its natural order. I hope this season doesn't end with a cliffhanger into the next season. (There is a next season right? Zzz)

I can bet you that an air bender cant beat a water bender in the ocean or a earth bender( with equal skill) under ground

But Tenzin was beast nevertheless

What would an airbender do underwater?

Lord have mercy. Water arm girl solo's the world.
Tenzin made it clear that he's superior to zaheer but kya would have gotten stomped by ming huya. Heck she can take on katara.

I kind of think those 4 are the best users of their respectable element. Zaheer may be not so much, but then again he became an air bender like what a 2 months ago?

Naw. To me ming Hua is like Toph. Since both are at a disadvantage(blindness/no arms) they use bending to compensate. Thus they're bending their element at almost all times. Making them the most fearsome. I doubt Gazan is beating a prime toph.

Yea them using their element like that is cool, I think people with like a sense gone (blind, mute, deaf, etc.) have other senses boosted. I don't know about Toph vs Gazan, that lava bending is something else, didn't he destroy the walls of bai sing say ( I know that spelling is wrong Zzz).

He did. But toph is the best metal bender there is. Not to mention his stances are to rigid. You saw what toph did to the boulders stance.

I really don't like Kya's character. By default I don't like the whole hippie-like theme, but seriously so far the only thing I have seen of her is being kicked around by other benders. I'm also disappointed in Bumi. That he can't properly airbend for a battle like this is understandable, but I would expect from someone who has had no bending powers his entire life while having such a military career that he can hold his ground against benders with no bending powers, just like Mai, Ty Lee and Amon (yes he had them, but didn't use them in most of his fights).

To be fair I doubt bumi has had to fight a lava bender, its like amon amon had no practice against air benders, air bending kicked his arse, even the equilsists were powerless against tenzins kids, there was no one to practice against. Kya did ok she was up against zaheer and water arm lady both of which are not good match ups for her altough I'm sure she had some spars with tenzin and aang here and there. Plus I found her fight scenes to be awesome.

Amon was caught off guard because Korra suddenly started airbending while he just locked her bending powers and while she never could airbend before. On top of that they were in a relatively small contained space. If Amon had known it before, I doubt it would have gone that smoothly and Amon is something else than the regular Equalists as the latter lost regularly to any type of bender and they were able to catch all of Tenzin's family. Not to mention the fighting style of the Equalists resembled the movements of airbending quite a lot.

Bumi on the other hand knew about the lava bender and he is supposed to be a very experienced soldier who, according to himself, should have been stuck quite a lot in dangerous situations. That he was fighting a lava bender for the first time I find no excuse as he seemed to completely improvise everything with desperate attempts to attack like biting. Even though it was funny to see, I was expecting of him to show more as why he was such a high-ranking soldier, especially when he lived a large part of his life with benders. Inadvertently he even showed the lava benders weakness: he can't lava bend in very close proximity of him or it would backfire. To kick Bumi off he had to earthbend, but Bumi showed no signs of this all being a deliberate discovery nor that he even realized it. I didn't expect him to win, but in the least show some Bumi-ingenuity just like Sokka, that other non-bender, did.

And as a bending daughter of Aang & Katara I expected more of Kya. Tenzin is the youngest, but he was evenly matched with Zaheer, while Kya got served first by Zaheer and then even by the water bending lady.
