Naruto is the only one willing to drop petty squabbles and look at the big picture to attain peace. He doesn't hold people's pasts against them, or where they came from or what they've gone through. He finds the best in people and brings them best out of them.

You say Kakashi is known world wide, yeah? Naruto has inspired the entire shinobi world. They respect him, they acknowledge him and they support him. Kakashi no where near that level of renown or charisma.

Yeah the difference is this character is not you and this is a battle field not some court room. So your analogy fails right there. Look the weight age of the whole world was at stake in this fight. What Obito did in those few chapters was nothing but remarkable. He may have killed innocent lives in the past but now he saved the existence of the humanity. I would like you to go back and see Obito's character that was in the past before you make these assumptions of him. Naruto had every right to be inspired by the character he was before. He made the famous quote that Kakashi still follows till this day. I don't see how hard this is to understand?

The team imploded under his own nose and he was too busy deluding himself into believing it wasn't happening. It wasn't until Naruto and Sasuke's fight at the hospital he decided to do something about it, and by then the dmg was already done.

You're a clear Naruto fanboy, so that first paragraph's point is moot. Being acknowledged by everyone is not a requirement for Hokage. Hitler was acknowledged by everyone, look how that turned out. the personal issues went on to cause drama for the team as a whole, in large part because Kakashi wouldn't bring himself to deal with it. Which is why i think Yamato made a better squad leader than Kakashi, because he made it abundantly clear that the arguing and fighting that went down with the last team's incarnation wasn't going to happen on his watch. And it didn't. If Kakashi wasn't supposed to deal with it, then there was no point in Hiruzen making it a point to arrange things where they would be 2 of the 3 ppl he was put in charge of.

If Kakashi is supposed to be fit to be the Hokage, then he's going to have to learn how to deal with ppl's personal baggage. Because from certain characters' past experiences with that title, it is going to be unavoidable for sure.
