Danzo can be justified in his actions so easily, its not even funny. Wood Release and the Sharingarm? Counter just in case Naruto decides to release the Kyuubi, considering he's shunned by the entire village; because of Hiruzen. Stealing Shisui's Mangekyo? Considering how OP Kotoamatsukami is, Danzo won't let someone from the clan planning to revolt to keep it, and he may have suspected that if he didn't take it, Fugaku or someone else would, and proceed to place Hiruzen and the elders under their control.

The Kabuto situation? We don't actually have a legit confirmation on Danzo's involvement after he had Kabuto join ROOT. Only confirmation we got was Orochimaru, and he had already shown interest in Kabuto beforehand. He may have been lying in order to get Kabuto to join.

Not really, Danzo was directly involved in the experimentation of those children, he could have easily driven Orochimaru away if he wanted to. I am not a direct factor in world hunger, and I couldn't stop it, even if I wanted to.

They were trying to bring back Mokuton, which is one of the most game Breaking abilities in the whole Narutoverse. The way Danzo saw it, Konoha would have nothing to fear if they could bring a second Hashirama Senju.

But honestly, we dont know the full extent of Danzo's involvement in most of the story. All we know about him is his failures, or douchebaggery; considering his role as Konoha's 'Darkness', it makes sense his successes would be hidden.
