Would Itachi return to Hidden Leaf?

Ok, if in fact Itachi is alive and Tobi broke their promise to leave the village alone would Itachi rebel and fight against him on the village's side?

I think in the case of Itachi's return and if he survives his return he will not return to Konoha. Since multiple characters have learned the truth behind Itachi's actions, and the fact that they were the orders of the Konoha leaders, he would be welcomed back to Konoha. But I don't think he would accept the invitation because of the memories he would have.

Agreed, he would take a role like Jiraiya and become a wanderer who always had Konoha's best interest in mind, but with a lot less contact with Konoha.

its some sort of genjutsu, itachi isn't alive ..

im pretty sure of that, but itachi lives on and will continue to show up ( the powers he gave to naruto for example )
