I'd describe it as religious science-fiction. At the end she becomes one with everything, very comparable to what we consider God to be. From that, basically I think it means that humans have the potential of becoming god-like. Its ironic how Morgan Freeman played a vital role in this movie when he narrates all the Science Fiction theories that touch on this subject. Thoughts?

Don't watch the movie if you want to learn about science. The whole concept in the movie is rubbish. You do not get super human powers like time control and matter manipulation if you so called 'unlock more than 10%'. Rather you'd more likely become a really smart human capable of calculating equations and such at a much faster speed than any genius. I did not watch it but my family did and they told me the plot. Finally, in reality we use 100% of our brain except not all at the same time because if someone did unlock 100%, they'd have a seizure. Rant finished.

All in all, the movie seems ok for those looking for a movie to enjoy themselves. I mean Morgan Freeman!

Not if you're really into visual effects. Then it does it wonderfully and Scarlet is great with what she was given but the science and the plot fall short.

I never called it being bad for being fiction. In fact, I'm arguing that hollywood should research their concepts before putting a movie like this together. Take one instance in the movie for example ; she gets a bunch of drugs injected into her abdomen and she suddenly unlocks more than 10%? How is that not bad?! What I'm trying to say is that if directors actually used their heads and made it logical, I wouldn't have to criticize such ludicrous matters.

Because it's fiction. The movie was never supposed to show you what it's like to use "more than 10%" at all. It's a fictional movie. It's not supposed to represent that at all in a real way.

I didn't mean it like it was a fact that everyone believed that, only that its a common way to interpret God. I mean if God answers our prayers, then he has to be everywhere at once.

About where the discussion has gone, I don't think you guys should be taking the things she did in the movie so seriously. Its all fictional and is meant to be kind of crazy cause..... its a movie.
