[Discussion] Itachi alive? or Sasuke's genjutsu?

I have a question and it is if Itachi is alive or is it simply Sasuke's genjutsu?

This chapter was phenomenal because even if Itachi is back due to a genjutsu never the less we get to see him again. If this is genjutsu then did Sasuke do this to simply play with Danzou's psyche? Or could Itachi have some how resurrected himself? I know, the chances that Itachi is back from the dead seems highly unlikely but if it is true then this is nothing short of epic. There is nothing I can post as evidence or to further my theory on this matter but what I do ask is what are all of your opinions on this occurrence?​

Well.. It could be either Genjutsu or Itachi coming back from the death.

Well considering Itachi new everything about Danzou, we can assume (or think?). He had to have known that he was someone to look out for, because of the way he acted at the high ups within the leaf, and his actual skill.
Because Itachi was able to scare Danzou away from Sasuke for such a long time maybe it had something to do with an ability that he could use to beat Danzou in a fight.

Furthermore, because Itachi gave all of his jutsu and skills to Sasuke, this could have been one of which he used to overpower Danzou because he cannot escape from the many crows that surround him.

Likewise - As we recall Danzou has the basically his left side of his body from the fastest Uchiha - Speed isnt space/time so he /has/ to move, the crows would stop him.

-Although that doesnt count for why the body still looks as if it is being crushed.

-Furthermoreeeee - If Danzou took the body of that Uchiha - Did anyone ever think that Itachi was indeed NOT behind his killing, and his skills were awakened when he killed the village instead?
(Random ideas right now, just letting them flow. lol)

Thank you for posting this thread Kuroi, I saw a few other threads that were somewhat similar but I liked that you decided to put up a poll. Alright, my thoughts on this topic are still quite uncertain so I chose the "Other" category but I will still share what I think can be a number possibilities. My initial thought was that it was a genjutsu performed by Sasuke. I thought this because the crows came out of Sasuke and he didn't even show any sign of surprise at what was happening. Another possibility could be that Itachi planted something into Sasuke before he died, similar to what Minato used to converse with Naruto during the Pein invasion arc. If I remember correctly Naruto was acting strangely in the last chapter and maybe this has something to do with the "power" Itachi put inside of him. Lastly, I also thought it could be some sort of reincarnation jutsu that met its requirement and activated and he somehow got "reborn" or something to that effect. I'm just really happy that Kishimoto decided to bring back Itachi, even if it was genjutsu. ​

And aren't the black birds a trade mark of Itachi's genjutsu? Maybe it was part of Itachi's plan to help Sasuke out even after his death.

Or it could have something to do with what's happening to Naruto at the moment.

But I don't think he's back... I wish he was and all, but I just can't see it happening.

I agree with Juuken here, but I think IF this Itachi is the real one, he prolly used something else. Itachi even said once: "Your goal will remain in illusion."
If someone expects to die anyway, why would he bother to say such a thing?

I don't think it's a Minato Jutsu, since every person can see Itachi. And Sasuke didn't summon Itachi either; The crows appeared and Sasuke was confused.
I think this either is an advanced form of Genjutsu or Itachi is really back.
The second one is more likely, since we never saw Itachi in full power. And this Itachi seems to be really pissed, I don't think a Genjutsu can do that.

Anyways, Genjutsu or not, remains to be seen.

i thought of this before,,but there's also possibility that its genjutsu as there is no doubt in sasuke's face as the technique was activated...

I also agree with what you said. It could very well be something else. I think it may lean more to an advanced genjutsu but I hope he really returned, it would really be totally unexpected by us readers. Kishimoto really knows how to pull off an awesome cliffhanger. Although, we didn't see much of Sasuke's reaction after the crows appeared so it is unclear whether or not it was his genjutsu but Danzo seemed rather surprised so I don't think it was his doing.

wow. very epic battle and danzou is like a damn cat. how much lives does he have. he's been killed multiple times already...each time he dies one sharingan dies..wow, i guess itachi and sasuke is competing on how much uchihas they can kill..LOL, jk. but very good chapter tho. got to c new summon. and danzou is a noob ninja after all. not very epic on danzou's part. well for itachi to be alive. hmmm, i wish, but most likely not. because as u can see. its clearly genjutsu. if u think about it. look at sasuke's summon, sasuke's team name (taka), and what sasuke said(snake will have his chance to fly on the talons of a hawk....all birds. so crows are types of birds. and u can see clearly on page 14 in chapter 477 that sasuke is clearly looking into danzou's eyes...so i bet sasuke is using a very high tech genjutsu (tsukuyomi)to figure out why is danzou not dead..because he's already used susano and amaterasu...so whats left? tsukuyomi. so why couldn't it be tsukuyomi???
