Yeah he was a total bamf.

But he had the power of the comment which really allowed for his power boost other than that the only person he could fight was Zuko at kid age XD but I'll give him the win for this one

The Avatar state/spirit countered it. I don't know why anyone bothers fighting against the Avatar, they always have some Avatar ability that gets them out of tight situations. Only thing that annoys me about the series.

Same thing happens when Naruto uses Kyuubi and now bijuu/sage power.

Udolock while fused with that evil dark spirit is much more powerful than Amon by far.

Unalaq is the strongest when he became the Dark Avatar. Blood bending doesn't work on avatars.

I forgot about that final form thing Unalaq did in the finale. Reminded me a lot of the season one finale when Aang fused with the ocean spirit.

Yeah he's stronger. Basic Unalaq was pretty weak though. Probably the weakest of all the villains in TLA/LOK.
