Dude this band is old and was never good even back then.
What are you talking about? There are some amazing songs of the band that are hard to forget. I Hate Everything About You is eternal imo. Time of Dying is my favorite though. There are at least 10 songs of the band that I love lol.

You have bad taste
No i have a taste for real music. Not for mainstream sounds and beats. The "music" by mainstream "artist" such as this is extremely simple and to repetitive. These "artists" have only one lyric being said over and over and over and over again its to damn annoying.

What you consider "real" music is purely your opinion.

It's not like this band in particular is promoting values and/or singing about things that are even mildly "mainstream". If the song was some dubstep track with someone rapping over it about getting drunk and not giving a f- about anything, then I could see it as being annoying, extremely simple and repetitive.

This band, however, has songs that some people can relate to. They like them, both lyrically and instrumentally. It makes them happy. Why should you have a problem with that?

This isn't music dude. Check your roots for the real deal. This stuff is nothing man. Real Music goes back to Bach, Machiavelli, Beethoven, Mozart. Listen to that and tell me if you consider this to be better than any of the pieces those composers created.

Pardon my judgement, but that's a ridiculously one-sided opinion.

Music isn't limited to Beethoven and the other "great composers". If I go outside and smack the ground in a rhythm, I am making music. If I whistle a melody, I am making music. Is it "better" than Mozart's pieces? Obviously not, but it's music nonetheless, and can still be enjoyed.

Say one day, I'm feeling a little down, and I put this song on for motivation. At that moment, I'm enjoying the music for what it's doing for me. Is a Bach piece going to have the same effect as this song? Nope, not at all. Is this song doing a better job than the Bach piece? Yes, it is. So at that moment, this song is better than a Bach piece, because the music has a purpose.

If you don't enjoy things besides works by composers such as the ones you listed, that's fine. But don't bash other people's music because they can enjoy it as much as you enjoy your kind of music.

Well thats to bad because i don't intend to be one sided. I do listen to music all music and make my judgements based off that. Music has declined over the age and it is laughable at best how terrible its gotten that people consider this to be music. Call me one sided but i am calling it like it is. What everyone calls talent is just showmanship and thats it.

While I can agree with the overall declining of quality in music, especially in the mainstream, you're utterly wrong in calling things that don't measure up to certain musical standards (not even of the same genre, might I add) "terrible".

But I can see there's no way you'll change your opinion slightly or take back calling this "trash", so have a wonderful day :)
