Why aren't there many users of The Flying Raijin jutsu?

because it's hard to do. Just because minato makes all his jutsu look effortless doesn't mean they're effortless. It's the same way minato makes rasengan look like something any genin can do but the jutsu takes 3 years to learn(1 week with plot).

Keep in mind the only one who know how to use the FTG to the full extent are Minato and Tobirama two Hokage's who were considered geniuses. It's only Fair that the guards have a weaker version.

I never quite understood that either, even if it super difficult. Shinobi like Kakashi should be skilled enough to master it. And the gift, as those who do follow the manga know, is most certainly NOT the secret to the Hiraishin.

MOST of minatos moves could be staple/uniform/basics of shinobi because almost anyone should be able to learn them like rasengan for example anyone with decent chakra should be able to do it with enough training it should be the same for ftg just need to teach how to do it.

everyone can learn of course but like I said if everyone knew it there is more of a chance of an enemy learning it...strong jutsu are not something you just teach everyone ... doing that would be retarded you should only teach it to people you trust not every random leaf ninja you see

Rasengan took 3 years to create, not learn. It's much easier to teach someone something and master it, than it is to create it from scratch. The likes of Naruto, Jiraya and Konohmaru never in a million years would've developed such a jutsu.

On topic:
I believe it's a difficult technique to learn and uses a lot of chakra. It would explain why minato didn't teach Kakashi (or Kakashi just couldn't learn it) but taught his guards like Genma. Because Kakashi just doesn't have the stamina to learn it, think about it. Kakashi learned rasengan from minato but not FTG?? Why would minato not teach him both, especially when Kakashi who's a genius just like minato should be able to learn it?

Why else would it take 3 Jonin to use, if it wasn't a chakra taxing move? It's probably like the multi shadow clone jutsu, whereby not everyone can use it unless you have enormous chakra reserves, which Tobirama and minato both have.

Both Minato and Tobirama have quite large chakra reserves so that may be the constraint.
Minato has sage mode (proof he has large reserves)
Tobirama is capable of using very high level water jutsu with no water in sight (proof of his large reserves)

Yeah, but i feel if someone like Naruto learns to use it he might make it into FTG LV3 who knows the possibilities are endless with how Techniques evolve.

There are some jutsu conditions.
This jutsu is consider as "Forbidden Jutsu"
Only Hokage level can learn and use.
And this jutsu was created by 2nd Hokage of the Leaf Village.
So it cannot anyhow reveal or teach anyone.

Just like the Clone Jutsu where Naruto able to use.
Clone Jutsu is Jounin Level.
Naruto happen to found out due to someone told him to steal from Hokage office.
Even other villages ninja also mentioned that that jutsu is jounin level.

There is reason why 3 ninja to perform.
Minato when using FTG without special kunai, with seal, he use another method.
Using both his hand to form a triangle and focus at the target location, then he could jump or transport.
That 3 ninja that form the triangle and teleport the Kage to that specific location, which was given.

The Cloud Village had their own method to teleport.

"All hell break lose", if everyone had and know how to perform this type jutsu.
Just imagine.

You need ridiculous physical prowess in order to even use them

Minato and Tobirama, I would say have the speed and reflexes to handle going at such speeds

If you send people with poor physique like Choji and use it, chances are his body might not handle the speed of the technique.

I think it has something to do with being a sensory ninja. Minato and Tobirama have to sense the location of their seals(chakra) to teleport to it.

I never understood that either. What's so difficult about it? Seems like a jutsu your average chunin could learn no-diff to me.
