Kakashi called Lee a genius for his skills with the gates during the Chunin exam, Neji was called a genius, Shikamaru was called a genius, Temari was said to think like Shikamaru so she's one, Sakura is book smart, Minato was said to be a genius that Jiraiya haven't seen since Minato himself, Orochimaru was a prodigy since a young age, Itachi and Kakashi were geniuses at young ages, Kakashi called Naruto smart recently, Kabuto is a genius.

Genius doesn't mean smart in the ninja world. It means talented. Sasuke is the most talented thus far

Madara himself was impressed by his intelligence and wished he was born before obito. All this added to his known feats. Kishi is the one who made those top characters state such words so if you disagree then take it up with him simple as that. Dunno why people like debating against manga facts, you can hate sasuke but the hate unfortunately can't change the manga.

Great response. I think I'll put madara and itachi over him. Maybe kakashi too. I guess people underrate him due to his past actions but that could be contributed to his clan's curse

Yh agreed, those people you mentioned are top geniuses so its understandable. Even while in rage mode sasuke still had it in him to cleverly trick an experienced shinobi like danzo with a genjutsu, figured out izanagi pretty quickly. That's sasuke at his highest point of rage, when he
is calm he is capable of much more than that,like breaking down limbo or better still the deidara battle comes to mind,I mean the guy was formulating hypothesis, countering all deidaras techs and having a back up plan using pure strategy throughout the entire battle. He was also analyzing what the edo hokages were doing(using their edo bodies as advantages in the juubito battle) and broke it down to naruto earning a skill comment from minato(who himself is a genius) .So when I see people underating his intelligence and genuis aspect of him I just laugh because they make themselves look like fools. A calm sasuke imo is easily among the top tier in terms of being a genius, its better to not pay attention to trolls and haters.

Exactly. When he was most emotionally vulnerable he still tricked an experienced fighter. Made danzo look pathetic.

Also I wonder if anyone else would be able to do the same against such powerful fighters like juubito or madara. I seriously doubt it. This guy is made for combat.

Kakashi created Chidori at like 10. Itachi did everything better than Sasuke. Neji was held in higher regard. Lee beat Sasuke up. Gaara wrecked him. Then, an incapacitated Sasuke just sat and watched Naruto dismantle Gaara. Rasengan > Chidori, and Naruto mastered it in one week. Critically ill Kimimaro would have torn Sasuke apart. He may be talented, but Sasuke is not a genius by any means.

I agree. Sasuke is indeed a genius. However, I think that he received a lot of assistance to get to his current levels (powerwise, not intellectually). There are others who I think are geniuses at a higher level than he is but thats not to negate the fact that he is a genius.

I think he is the most smart person in the whole serie when it comes to battles. He is so tactical. But to be honest Itachi is probably a bit smarter when he thinks outside battles. Like with knewing Sasuke would kill him in the end and stuff.
