Lancer notices his opponent standing roughly mid range, been a while since he got a good fight in. Without hesitation, Lancer performs three hand seals and releases his chakra up towards the sky right above your location, creating a 5x5 meter cloud (in radius), 10 meters high. The cloud is made of a dark oil, which as it is created, will begin to rain down on you a thick, black, and flammable substance. Attempting to drench you completely on you're body and around the area you are standing (which is 5x5 meters as well). Knowing the weather is quite sunny, the cloud would create a sudden cloud which Lancer takes in account for.

Description:After performing the Ram → Snake → Tiger hand seals the user creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil.
After the oil rain has drenched you, Lancer performs two hand seals. Injecting his earth chakra right around you're position again, to create a 10 meter deep, 5x5 meter radius, sticky adhesive mud swamp right underneath you. The swamp's main goal is to catch you and force you to sink, restricting you're movement from below. Plus the swamp would be covered in the oil, since the ground only morphs into mud and the oil would remain. So the oil is now both flammable and sticky.

Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.
After the swamp is made, filled with flammable oil, Lancer swiftly takes out a kunai with his right hand and places an explosive tag on it. He throws it towards you, making it detonate as it gets in range setting the area of mud ablaze with you in it.

Jio watches on as Lancer pulls together 3 hand seals while standing mid range from him. Suddenly a shadow blanketed the spot Jio stood, prompting him to look upwards. Upon looking up he takes note of a black cloud of sorts floating about mid range above his head, releasing a blackish liquid from it. Jio calmly put his hands together, positioning his fingers to form a single hand seal. Lifting his right palm up he controls the wind currents in the immediate area, creating raging gusts that push away all the oil and breaks apart the cloud to clear all oil from the area. As he does this, he notices lancer had moved on to another assault.

Description: After making the Rat handseal, the user creates and controls air currents from the palms of their hands, forming a large field of raging air currents and gusting winds. The technique expands quickly, rapidly spanning through all of the battle field, gathering debris, dust and other small particles in its path. The technique effectively creates a very large controllable "dust" storm.
Note: Lasts 3 turns or until released.
The ground beneath Jio started to change at a rapid pace, quickly turning into an adhesive swamp-like substance. The swamp seemed to span 5m out in every direction, obviously aimed to capture and drown Jio. Jio didn't take this as a real treat at all, so he continued with his nonchalant, relaxed demeanor, gathering his Fuuton chakra. Before the swamp could catch him, Jio created a gray jet of wind beneath his feet which let him float above the swamp about 20cm. Upon creation the jet quickly carries Jio towards Lancer in an arc manner to Lancer's left/Jio's right. In about a second Jio is out of range of the swamp and he quickly does a mid air cartwheel to the right whilst launching the jet of wind at Lancer. Jio smoothly lands on solid earth while the jet continues at Lancer, aimed to rip straight through his abdominal area if not handled properly.

Description: The user gathers wind chakra below their feet which is then manipulated into becoming a jet of wind that lifts the user slightly above the surface they're standing on, whether it's ground or a water source (20 centimeters above surface). The jet of wind is large enough for the user to stand on. This jet of wind is then controlled by the user to travel in an arc manner trajectory towards a target while they themselves are standing on it, allowing themselves to travel that same trajectory aswell. Its speed is faster than a running shinobi yet the user and the jet of wind can clearly be seen and tracked with the naked eye. Traveling in an arc manner with such speed would allow the user to evade mid-ranged-sized attacks within reasoning (for example: incoming projectile-type or stream-type techniques) while at the same time approaching their opponent. Once they evade the incoming attack, the user does a side back flip, leaving the jet of wind while manipulating it to compress itself into a disk made out of wind that travels in mid-air straight towards the opponent at greater speed since the user "pushes" it with the motion of their back flipping with their feet (still trackable with naked eye). The jet can be seen/noticeable because of the impact it does on the surface it is moving on. The jet has a somewhat grey-ish color but still has some transparency to it aswell. The disk of wind will still have that grey-ish color (more noticeable by sight since it's compressed) but cannot be heard when it's noisy in the battlefield, unless someone has enhanced hearing abilities. The slicing damage it does would be as large and similar to that of a normal katana enhanced with C-Rank wind chakra. When doing the side back flip, the user lands back to the ground/water source.

With the jet of wind coming Lancer's way, he gathers earth chakra right underneath his feet and causes a section of the earth to split apart in a chunk, creating a rather small plateau, just large enough for Lancer to stand on. He uses this plateau to evade the wind jet coming at him with ease, simply by moving up before the jet can hit Lancer. With his stable on the rock section, he then jumps off the section of rock and launches it towards the opponent in a projectile manner, in the area he is standing on. However, an ability was set in stone (no pun intended). For as the section of rock was first created Lancer had infused a flammable mud substance inside of the rock section. He hopes for the rock to crash onto you, breaking up when it crashes with the earth section you were standing. This will also release the flammable mud all over the area you are standing on.

The user applies chakra to his feet to stay on the earth upside-down and, if he chooses to do so, can jump off and cause the earth to float towards what he wants it too.

Description: The user will gather their earth chakra and manipulate it so it activates an ability; where certain structures of earth techniques when protruded from the ground, out of the user's body or from the sky, will have either- sticky adhesive mud or flammable like substance of mud, infused inside the body of the solid structure as a passive ability when being released (still costs a move). What this means is the structure of earth will have the same appearance physically but instead of being completely solid will have a substantial amount of mud inside its physical structure masking its appearance from the opponent's view (will not fool certain dojutsus and sensory). The structure will be able to remain stable since the mud will be compressed and its body structure will still be solid allowing it to remain its base of movement and operation. This technique has some different characteristics which allows it to be of use. The first basic ability is how the user is able to manipulate the sap of mud to be released out of the structure of earth oozing out of its body (the earth structure's body). What makes this significant is, for example, if one was pierced by a stone spike, the user can literally now force the spike to ooze mud out of its structure and into the body of the opponent injecting them with the mud or even around the body restricting their movement. However, when this concept is used, the structure of earth will no longer be of use for manipulation purposes since the mud will literally overtake its body as it oozes out. The second basic ability is, where the user will literally have the mud inside of the body of the earth structure ooze outward in similar fashion, however this mud is flammable mud. Large amount of mud can (however has limitations and dependability) flood the battlefield and restrict anything coming into contact (for the adhesive mud) or be used to set up an explosion (flammable mud) with the use of external resources such as fire attacks, explosive tags, etc. The flammable mud can not be set by itself. The amount of mud that can be infused in the structure of earth mainly corresponds with just how large the structure is. In some cases this can harm the opponent as well if the mud comes into contact with the user themselves. The user can also infuse mud into more then one construct but with more chakra cost required.

Jio wasn't at all surprised by the evasion maneuver used by Lancer, he simply strung together 3 hand seals the moment Lancer moves out of the way, thus casting a powerful Genjutsu. Upon launching the stone section at Jio, Lancer hears a loud church bell ring as his section of earth stops and is suspended in mid air. A couple of seconds go by and the section of earth takes a turn for the worst.. Well for Lancer. The stone section bursts into the air w few meters and arcs upwards then down upon lancer's head, aiming to break on his head and cover him in the mud stuff in the inside. Though in reality the earth would indeed shoot straight at Jio like intended.
(Genjutsu: Mikkoku Kurouido) Illusion Technique: The Betrayal of the Black Widow

Description: The user performs 3 handseals and creates a genjutsu that latches onto the opponent's brain, gaining control of the user's chakra. It will suddenly and powerfully make the opponent fear his own jutsu, which will translate in seeing the jutsu transform into something menacing or deadly to the user. For example, turns a dragon fireball around and has it attack the opponent, turns an earth armor into a spiked one, where the spikes grow inwards instead of outwards, etc etc. This only works on jutsus of the same rank as the technique. Genjutsu specialists will be able to affect 1 rank above. As the genjutsu kicks in, the target will hear a loud church bell ringing on their ears, and they'll see their jutsus stop. Then, a few seconds later, a second ring will be heard, and the jutsu will turn on them. In case of the Kurama, the effects actually become real. By latching itself on the part of the brain that controls the chakra, shortly after preforming the technique, the genjutsu will have the opponent resume the contact with the jutsu and have it's own chakra reshape, re-manipulate the jutsu into what the genjutsu is creating.

With Lancer stuck in the illusion thinking his own attack is turning on him, Jio would still have to deal with the attack in reality. Jio pulled his hands together to perform one single hand seal whilst taking in a deep inhalation of air. With this done he expels from his mouth a large compressed sphere of rotating wind that easily overpowers the section of earth. The sphere redirects the section, cutting it up and infusing the mud with the air as it continues at you at full speed and strength.
(Fūton: Shinkū Taigyoku) – Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere

Description: After performing two hand seals Tiger → Dog the user launches a stronger version of the Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere technique, where the user instead chooses to compress the entirety of the previously inhaled breath into a single large, crushing sphere of wind chakra that they then proceed to expel from their mouth.
Due to the illusion Lancer wouldn't see Jio's counter attack, instead he'd still be focusing on his attack which is happening from above him. Meanwhile Jio does a few hand seals in order to make it start raining across the terrain. Jio did this not only to gain access to his Ameton element, but to also get a sensory edge during the battle.

Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.
With the section of rock aimed at the opponent, Lancer keeping his eyes locked on. He notices the hand seals string, in anticipation of an attack, however instead he hears a single bell. Odd but it didn't force him from performing his combo, however in his mind as he was about to send the section of rock, he heard once again a bell. That is when it all went crazy, he noticed how his rock section was unable to move by his command and it quickly went against him. His own technique, this was definitely something he was not expecting. Lancer's first assumption went towards the bell he heard, did that have anything to do with it? The second thing he noticed was the fact that, in the terrain, specifically the weather...there was sunlight. However the rock section above Lancer did not dawn a shadow over him, which got Lancer questioning. Knowing most shinobi are unable to take over certain techniques, the opponent before did not access any power which might have led to an assumption, he leaned towards the fact it might be genjutsu.
Lancer swiftly took out a kunai, and jabbed it into his inner right thing. Penetrating the muscular tissue and inflicting serious pain, he made sure not to touch any ligaments around the thigh so he did not lose control of his leg. He can now notice efficiently that it turned out he did send his technique at the opponent but before he can even react he had destroyed it, with a wind technique. The oil and rocky substance coming back at him, he takes out a scroll and injects his fire chakra. He throws it up and releases out of the scroll a blazing fire shaped into a tiger. It moves to not only intercept the wind technique and overpower it, but the oil will also increase the damage of the fire technique by a lot. Used in similar fashion like how Jiraiya used it with his toads, simply to fuel the fire. As it moves towards you with great speed, S-Rank in power.
(Katon: Bakuryūgeki) - Fire Release: Exploding Dragon Strike
