Obito was good, but Madara could have been better.... until Kaguya trolled her way in
If Tobi was a villain all by himself, Madara would completely unnecessary. But to extend the story, Kishi introduced Madara.

Eh, Tobi WAS being Madara. So basically who you saw with the mask on was Madara at that moment. Its like someone being the substitute teacher while the real one is gone. Why would a fake act like the real deal when the real deal is right beside him and knows that he knows who he is and his real attitude?
Madara was introduced way before Tobi actually started his plans. Even the statue of Madara at the Valley of the End showed his "face".
Watching that ending again makes me understand more of just how excellent a character and villain Obito really was. People don't understand that his reasonings are more complex than "you let Rin die." It's more like "you let the symbol of hope and happiness in my life die."
He killed Minato and Kushina.
He is directly involved with the Uchiha massacre.
He led the Akatsuki.
He manipulated Sasuke.
He is responsible for almost every awful thing in Naruto's life and Sasuke's life to a lesser extent.
He started a world war.
And finally he is what Naruto could have become.
There was really no reason to involve Madara or Kaguya at all. Instead of Edo Madara it could have been Edo Hashirama or something. Yes I know Hashirama could break Kabuto's control, but Kishi could have given Kabuto the power to stop that from happening or something.
Also, it would keep the mystery of Tobi up. He would still have all (or most of us) convinced that he was Madara, and when the mask falls off, it's actually Kakashi's childhood best friend turned cold heartless killer.
That would have much more of an impact than Madara and Kaguya who have barely any connection to the main characters.
I find this quite ironic because I remember you didn't seem to have a problem with Kaguya being the FInal Villian before. Why the sudden change?
madara was a crap villain he was just an obito rip off, and aizen rip off, and very bland but fun to look at.
orochimaru was only a good villain because he had an interesting character concept and powers.
He was the worst villain bro. It should have been Orochimaru or Madara.
Anything is better than Kaguya. There is absolutely no point in Kishi just making her final villain in my opinion. Obito was good, but I prefer Madara.
Why do people say he killed Minato and Kushina, they sacrificed themselves to stop the Kyuubi. Even though it was Obito's fault that he summoned it, doesn't mean he killed them.
Because that was before. This is now, after I realize how disappointing Kaguya is.

How was she disappointing
More like someone with the same ideals as Madara. The "real deal" gets stale when he's already been done before.
He was being Madara? Sure. But he was still Obito, the Masked Man. The one responsible for almost everything.
Madara being introduced before Obito hardly matters. Obito took on the moniker of Madara, so we'd be seeing Tobi as Madara. Therefore all of Madara's hype would go to Tobi.
She has no personality. How was she disappointing
You misunderstood me. Madara himself has a nice villainous ideology. But we already heard all about it from Obito. So when Madara came back and started talking about the same exact things Obito already talked about, I had no interest in it.By that logic that means Obito was stale because he was the "real deal" after Madara was technically.
Dosen't change the fact the Tobi was being originally decieved and Madara told Obito this also.
