Having to live with Gon's no kill attitude has to have impacted his skills to a degree. He's had to taper down his aggression which puts him in tougher situations then they need be. Plus we don't get to see many heart ripping moments anymore.
Stop talking shit! Gon has nothing to do with Killua not killing, that's what Killua wanted himself all along! That's the whole ****ing reason he ran away from home, he was tired of killing. It's also one of the main reasons Silva ordered Illumi to put a needle on him, and it's also the reason Milluki said that Killua was too emotional.Having to live with Gon's no kill attitude has to have impacted his skills to a degree. Killua wants to stop killing after meeting Gon, he tries to live up to Gon's ideals and values rather than his family's thus making him hold back his tendencies which he developed growing up a Zoldyck. No one's talking shit stop getting offended for a fictional character, Killua's character has held back since meeting Gon no getting around it he was a much more proficient fighter before.Stop talking shit! Let me reiterate, stop talking shit! Killua already hated killing BEFORE he even met Gon. He ran away from home because he hated the life of an assassin. If he wanted to kill and thrived in it, he would have never ran away from home and stayed like the other brothers did, and there would have never been a reason for the needle. You're blaming Gon for what is an inherent weakness in Killua's personality, in other words, you're fanboying Killua, unwilling to admit an obvious character flaw and blaming it on someone else. Milluki said it clearly, Killua's weakness is that he is overly emotional. There are countless examples of this, for instance, in the chimera ant arc, he kept accusing Gon of being overly emotional and losing his cool, and kept pestering Gon that he should keep his eyes only on the mission and not get distracted, as if Gon was an idiot, but you look at the proceedings and you wonder who was emotional and who was getting distracted, first Killua gets distracted by Dragon Dive, Gon and Youpi are the only ones who stay focussed in that whole thing. Then, when they were running looking for Pitou, Killua gets overwhelmed by emotions and acts impulsively, going after the two soldier ants that were in the direction Ikalgo was going despite it being him in the first place who made the rule that they should stay focussed on their task no matter what and not interfere with each other's mission. Then he cries for nothing when they go to face Pitou, Gon tells Killua where Pitou is and than says 'Lets go, Killua', and Killua starts crying about what Gon thinks of him, like wtf? Gon wants to Kill Pitou and Komugi and who stops him? Killua. Yet you say Gon is the one holding Killua back? Anyway I seem to have gone a little off topic, point is, Killua was emo and jittery about Killing long before he met Gon, this is something the Zoldycks realised LONG ago, hence the excerssive precautions ('needles' and strict training) placed around him. This could not have been made any clearer in the manga. Let me reiterate, quit crying ya ****in crybaby. Plus he's not even my favorite, Leorio/Hisoka are my fav's followed by Knuckle and Morel. Knov was cool until he turned to a bald ***** though, his power would have been neat to see more from.Let me reiterate, stop talking shit! Killua already hated killing BEFORE he even met Gon. I honestly don't give a damn about who your fav is, and I'm not even crying over this, I'm jus using exclamations and capitals to make sure the FACTS sink into your head. If anyone is a crybaby it is Killua, you can just count the number of times he has cried over 'mundane' issues, or at least issues that should be mundane for someone of his upbringing. Anyway, I think I've made my point, Gon is definitely not holding Killua back, and he decided he didn't want to kill before he met Gon and certainly before Gon even uttered a word about killing to him (Hunter exams when he faced Illumi, Gon had not made even a comment about Killua's killing and had said nothing when Killua took that guy's heart out in the tower, but Killua was crying to his older brother about not wanting to be a killer and not wanting to go back home, after running away on his own accord). I won't stop nagging you until you admit the truth or you ignore me entirely, so that you know the truth wherever you are! Regarding Knov, yeah that guy completely lost his shit! Bet Palm won't be as much of a Knov fanboy when she finds out how he chickened out. He was way too cool before though, actually envoked alot of emotion outa me when he infiltrated the palace (Before his encounter with Pouf's en). I understand why you would like him.Let me reiterate, quit crying ya ****in crybaby. Plus he's not even my favorite, Leorio/Hisoka are my fav's followed by Knuckle and Morel. You obviously care a little since you made the assertion of who my favorite was. If it was irrelevant to you as you say now you'd never have mentioned it. When Kurapika was intro'd in the hunter exams he was the complete opposite of Gon, he had to keep putting himself in check so he wouldn't show Gon his true killer side which he assumed would scare Gon away. To keep Gon around and to become his friend Killua toned down his violent tendencies. Also Killua ran away to take the hunter exam because he was bored of the killing which isn't the same as restraining yourself from killing when you want to in order to satisfy your friend, there are a few times Killua asks Gon if he can just kill an opponent and Gon tells him no, that's the exact definition of what I'm talking about there are times when Killua could and would kill an opponent but Gon says don't and he doesn't. You can type another 1000 words it still won't change what's happened in the manga already.I honestly don't give a damn about who your fav is, and I'm not even crying over this, I'm jus using exclamations and capitals to make sure the FACTS sink into your head. Those times he asked Gon happened AFTER he already cried about it to his older brother at the exams, cried while telling him he's not just a killer. He wouldn't cry about it if it was just a matter of being bored. You're living in denial son!You obviously care a little since you made the assertion of who my favorite was. Nope I'm living in the manga, delusion is your stop. Killua met Gon at phase 1, he didn't know Illumi was there until the final stages. Those times he asked Gon happened AFTER he already cried about it to his older brother at the exams, cried while telling him he's not just a killer. He wouldn't cry about it if it was just a matter of being bored. You're living in denial son!
Gon definitely helped him grow as a person but Killua has tamed his skills down from killing to injuring.eh true but its not like someone like Gon wasn't needed in Killua's life either. Until then he never had a real friend and lived a very isolated life as an assassin, Gon was his one light. Whether Gon is his strength or weakness is up to discussion.
I'm not sure if I dislike him for it but Killua is one of the most selfless people in the entire series...That's the only thing I dislike about killua, his care for gon, and always putting him first. Tbh I'd rather kil be the main
I understand that he's selfless but when he starts crying about things (mostly Gon related) it annoys me. However I guess it is that care for Gon and other people that also makes him strong and becoming cold and badass. I also like what you said and it seems very possible, but with that scenario you know it will end where Gon will eventually come and snap him out of it which would then be predictable and annoying, so the ending of it would suck.Eventually I think knowledge of Alluka's powers are going to really get out there... and she'll be killed. Whether that's by Illumi, Hisoka, Pariston or any higher-up in the Hunter Association... Killua will go absolutely nuts and we'll see more of his assassin side from that point on-wards. We've seen him pissed off and annoyed but we've never really seen him full of rage like we have with Kurapika and Gon and recently even Leorio. Killua is a very, very reserved boy, and yet his character couldn't be any more opposite - his innerself is in constant battle. Alluka's death would send him over the edge.
Not to mention that if Alluka is kept around, what's stopping her from being used as a plot-device for when something world-threatening comes up? Her powers are just too hax.
Not to mention that Killua doesn't know that Gotoh is dead. Togashi wouldn't have the other butlers cover up his death as if it never happened if it wasn't going to lead anywhere - Killua will find out eventually.
Gon and Killua have parted ways in the Manga. I think eventually when we catch upto Killua, he's going to be noticeably colder. This is because his purpose now is to protect Alluka and without Gon being the "light" - There's nothing stopping him. Illumi is going to be after them now and Killua does not want to be in a situation where he's too weak to protect Alluka... I think this will be the reason for him to grow colder. All of this will climax in Alluka's death.
I'm not sure if I dislike him for it but Killua is one of the most selfless people in the entire series...
