We can't pick and choose love or hatred, that's not how it works. Two opposing forces co-exist and cannot live without one another; try to delete one, and the other will revive it's antipode once again.

Honestly, none of the above. Humans try to be too complicated. Real peace will only be achieved, if A) everyone believes in the same thing, whether it be religion or ideology B)everyone works towards the same goal and C) people must rely on each other completely, reliance creates cooperation, most of the peace we have now is based on trade.
