[Discussion] What do you Believe: Love, Hatred or Nihilism ?

LOVE :-

You love someone, you love the beauty of the world and many other things. You think that by spreading your love, you can connect everyone's hearts and make everyone happy. You believe that love is the true path to peace as it removes sorrow and pain.

HATRED :-

You see people dying, loved ones betraying each other, poor people living horribly and fighting. All this feels your heart with Hatred and revenge. You realise that Love will only lead to Hatred. As, such you believe that Hatred motivates you to make a better world and bring peace.

NIHILISM :-

You see people laughing and crying. But then, you realise that nothing is permanent in this world and will eventually cease to exist. As, such you simply stop caring about life. Whatever happens, happens. If people do not care, then neither Love or Hatred will exist. Thus, you believe Nihilism is true peace.

So in the end, what is your outlook towards Life ? What can bring true peace ? And who will win in the end ?

My view on the world is a mix of all three. I see people dying, I see people that love each other, I believe that love leads to pain and sorrow, and I know that nothing is permanent and that nothing stays the same forever. As for wanting to achieve true peace, that is something that does not exist, so it is not a matter of me not wanting it, its one of me not being able to have it.

I believe in Hatred. I have seen too many evil things in this world. So much, so that If I see Love it feels like living in heavenly ignorance while people rot all around you. And Nihilism is a no-go for me because I don't want my hate to vanish as if it didn't exist.

So, I believe that in the end, Hatred wins. :devil:

I personally see Hatred as a means to motivate us to change the world. Because Love pretty much puts you in a dream world and you don't really want to change the world. While hate does create conflict, hate is generally caused by love itself.

So, either Love < Hatred or both are dubious and Nihilism is the way to go.

It is a cross between love and realism. I wouldn't call it Nihilism because there is no pessimistic belief attached to it. Things come and go. Impermanence is inescapable. Suffering is also a part of the human condition. Compassion and love are essential to support others and decrease the suffering for those around you just a little bit.
