You will soon see.

Alright then. Now, before we start with the actual training I want to say a few things. I want to make sure that you know how I train and how we are going to proceed. First of all I'm hoping to have a quality training with you and to pass as much of my own knowledge onto you. For that, I need your full cooperation and I need you to read carefully, think and ask questions. I certainly do not bark, neither I bite, therefore don't be afraid to ask me anything.

I'll try to explain the core of each technique at the very best I can and in return I would like you to give me your personal opinion on the technique; how you would use it and how you would defend if it was used against you. I don't want to have a boring template training, where we simply go technique by technique until they end. I want you to enjoy this, therefore I want it to be like a discussion instead of me telling you what to do and what not to. One thing that I want to mention to you is the following - no matter under what occasion, do not, I repeat, do not write something that isn't yours. I would like to see how you think and your thoughts about the techniques. If you can do these things then I'm sure we will both enjoy the training! :)

Any questions before we start?

Very good.

Since you already had some training I believe you know the utmost basics, so why don't we run quickly through them again. Can you tell me what a ninja is, what chakra, ninjutsu and elements are? Also tell me of your past training threads and role play experiences. What kind of role player do you aim to be?

It was best said by Hashirama that the core of what a shinobi is, is someone who endures. Of course it could be said of anyone but shonobi work under the most extreme of circumstances as compared to the normal life of a person. As children, we are taught to survive, cast away our emotions, and follow orders. It would be easy to just say that shinobi are those who are able to utilize chakra and perform tasks that couldn't normally be done but that would be a disservice to the many who gave their lives in the battlefield and those who worked hard to improve their way of life. We are not heroes or gods, we are merely humans fighting to exist in a world that only knows hate and despair. Our goal in the end, is to work towards peace and stability, to which some would go to great lengths to preserve.

Now onto what chakra is. I couldn't tell you the scientific side of it as it is not known to me. The only thing I can tell you is that it is the actualization of matter created from our physical and mental/spiritual energy. With it we are able to perform tasks that couldn't normally be done with one's own effort alone. Taijutsu relies more on our physical energy though in small portions, draws on our mental energy. Genjutsu relies more on our mental energy and in the same way as taijutsu, draws a portion of our physical energy. I would say that Ninjutsu is a balance of both mental and spiritual energies though I would have to say that it varies on what it is. Each one has its own requirements and rules and that goes for everything. Chakra isn't an unlimited source (although we would wish it were). Each person carries a set amount that grows from childhood to adulthood, though after that it stays the same. There are many theories as to what increases your chakra such as a strong life force like the Uzumaki but that is just speculation. In order to replenish one's lost chakra you either rest and recover or through the use of a chakra transfer technique though it requires a near perfect control of one's chakra. I would say Jinchuuriki have an almost limitless supply of chakra but normally the Bijuu are not apt to help their hosts and instead can hinder them so I will forego the details of it all.

Since I explained what chakra is then I can shorten this one a bit. Ninjutsu or Ninja Techniques, are techniques fueled by chakra, that allow you to perform tasks that cannot be normally done. By transferring my chakra to a blade on the ground, I could cause it to levitate and fly towards you, aiming at your heart and kill you. Of course, I don't think you would die so easily as most shinobi are taught to counter such petty things. However, a user with skill can do that much and more given the opportunity. The more stronger and difficult the technique, the more chakra is expended to fuel it. If you wanted to, you could separate ninjutsu into two categories, those that can be done instantaneously or near-instantaneous and those that require you to fuel and maintain it. Out of all ninjutsu, the more widely used techniques are those that draw on the elemental nature of either wind, water, earth, fire, and lightning. Each one has its own properties and limitations such as their strengths/weakness in relation to another. In essence, all techniques fueled by chakra work by two conditions: Nature and Shape Transformation. The higher the level of the technique the more higher those two properties are, the higher the rank and dangerous the technique.

There's not much to say about my training as I don't think I could write down everything for you. However I will endulge you by mentioning people who helped shape how I roleplay and train:

LonelyAssassin - First person to roleplay in my training. I actually looked forward to our training sessions. Sad he lost his senpaiship and can't be a sensei.

Adachi/Souji - Very good at integrating Roleplay in their training and something I wish to emulate one day.

Scorps - Meeting someone with an extensive knowledge of jutsu has motivated me to look more closely at how they work. He also taught me that hard work pays off in the end.

Jacob Moore - First person to ever ask me what I thought about fire and my goals in life instead of jumping into mindless jutsu training.

Zenryoku - Before he left, our conversation about the rp enlightened me that there is more to what is perceived. If one works hard and is steadfast in their goals, you can achieve anything.

Edward - That guy blazed through training and left me in the dust man. T__T It motivates me to keep working hard to one day fight him toe to toe.

but all those people couldn't even come close to the primary source of my motivation/inspiration. Don't get too excited senpai...

Dragy - It was quite interesting that I started out motivating him but instead he grew so fast that now he is the one teaching me. Not only is he better at writing than I am, but he also has vast understanding of jutsu that will eventually surpass even Scorps'. If you combined me and him into one being, we would be the equivalent if you merged all the RP Mods into one. xD

But enough of the ego boost. >_>

Over the years I have had many goals. To be a senpai, a sensei, a member of the Akatsuki, a jinchuuriki, a RP mod, a regular mod, a Kage, a nb medical student. But as time went on I have slowly lost my motivation to do any of those because I simply lack the qualities or knowledge to be one. Instead the only thing I know I can do is help people as best I can and work hard to improve the community in my own way, under the radar. I don't think I merit any reward or acknowledgement as their are others who can simply do it better and faster than me. So for now, I am just me, Deviation. I don't want to be overpowered with a vast array of jutsu at my disposal, I just want to be simple, kind, and logical.

Wonderful, everything mentioned.

Regardless the elements I want to add something to what you have said yourself. There are five known elements. They can be arranged into a circle, corresponding to their strengths and weaknesses. Those elements are Water > Fire > Wind > Lightning > Earth. Each of these is a natural occurrence in our world and through intensive studying and practicing we became able to manipulate and even create them. In the manga and anime you see regular ninja with one or two elements as their main traits but for the purpose of our RP, it's allowed to have all five. Each element has it's own characteristics and there are strong facts as to why some elements are stronger/weaker than other.

Likewise one more thing, that I want to point out. You cannot simply levitate a blade by using chakra. That goes beyond the normal free form weapon usage.

Also here are the somewhat the 'official' descriptions of each term. Give them a read.
±± Ninja ±±
A ninja is someone who uses their full abilities in the service of his/hers beliefs, working to achieve a goal. This goal can be anything from peace to war, money, destruction, personal griefs or even revenge and can be shared with others or individual. Most ninjas are fighters and correspond to the bulk of the military force of the great nations. However, a ninja doesn't need to be a fighter. Even medics or a simple carpenter may, in times of need, use his abilities (medical knowledge or abilities in working with wood for example) to accomplish the goals he set to himself, following his beliefs.

±± Chakra ±±
Chakra is the energy that is formed through the passive combination of both the Physical and the Spiritual energies in a sentient being (every living being with a conscious mind has chakra). Physical energy corresponds to the vitality of the body and its own energy. Spiritual energy corresponds to the mind or spirit, and comes from the awareness and "soul" of each sentient being.

Some ninjas have high levels of chakra because they have great physical energy (like the Akimichi or even Tsunade) and others because of their spiritual energy (like the Uchiha and the Yamanaka). However, its much more difficult to increase the spiritual energy than the physical one, thus why all ninjas pass through intensive physical workout.

Yin and Yang are based on this same concept. Yin is the basis of the spirit while Yang the basis of the body. In this i won't go into more dept because there are 2 things to consider: Yin/Yang manipulation in our RP is different from the manga one and both are more or less inacessible.

Chakra flows in a circulatory system inside your body, in a way that much resembles the blood circulation. This circulatory system has 8 small reservoirs that act as both storage but also chakra regulation. These are the eight inner gates. Along your circulatory system, small "portals" exist that enable you to expell chakra from your body. These are called Tenketsu and there are 361 of them scattered allong the body. When a tenketsu opens, chakra poors out of it. Its by molding the chakra that comes out of the tenketsu that you produce ninjutsu and genjutsu.

±± Ninjutsu ±±
Ninjutsu, or Ninja Arts, is the ability to, through the use of chakra, accomplish tasks that would be otherwise impossible to do. Ninjutsu are done by 2 stepts: focusing your chakra and molding your chakra. Focusing is using your will power to "will" a portion of your chakra to do something. On the other hand, molding is giving your chakra a set of characteristics that will enable you to produce the desired end effect.

Think of the chakra flow as our breathing. Normally, it happens passively, without any conscious intervention. However, when you need to you can use your will to control it. Its the same with your chakra flow. Its happens normally without your consicious intervention. However, you can focus your chakra and make it produce something.

Now, molding the chakra is done by two basic principles: Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation. These correspond to the two broad areas that one needs to change in the chakra to produce a jutsu. Shape manipulation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired form while Nature transformation pertains to the ability to give your chakra a desired set of characteristics/properties. Sometimes, to better mold chakra, ninja use Handseals. Handseals are simply hand gestures that allow the ninja to more easily concentrate and mold the chakra into the desired technique.
Following me so far? Questions?

Yes. Only thing I wish to convey is the illogical approach to the design of the RP. For a rp system that was made to emulate the manga, it sure does go in the opposite direction by allowing people to use all five elemental natures and disallowing the medical school to the public. By doing that you devalue certain characters such as Hiruzen, Kakashi, Nagato, and Muu for example. But there is nothing we can do now so just ignore my comment.

Also, was some of that information borrowed from Scorps by the way?

This information was showed to me by my sensei, and I would assume that the one who actually wrote it was Scorps.

Now to the element of choice for this training session, Wind. Tell me everything you know about the Wind element. Why is it classified as an offensive element? Who uses wind? What would fit nice with Wind? What's so special about Wind?

As I have little to no experience with the element itself, this reply will be quite short. The only thing I know about Fuuton is that its cutting ability is only rivaled by Raiton. It is usually a constant, moving force that for the most part is invisible. You can however, with sharp eyes, see what it moves such as when it passes through grass, trees, water, etc. I am not much of a science guy so I couldn't go more in depth about it.

I would assume it is considered an offensive element because of its cutting power. Since it lacks substance like earth and water does, it can't really defend against most solid objects directly even if you compress the air.

It is quite obvious to mention Naruto as a wind user but we all know there are others. There are Temari, Asuma, and Sora the Pseudo Jinchuuriki.

Wind is a good compliment to water but really shows its worth when combined with fire though it must done in a small ratio as to not overpower the fire and cancel it.

Other than that, I don't know what makes it special. That is why I am here, senpai.

Superb.

Now, since the wind element is both my favorite and strongest element you are going to receive some of my knowledge. Since you are a wind student of mine, I would actually give you a perfect explanation of what the element contains of - how it works, and why it is important to know how to use the wind element correctly. I have tried to put my knowledge together so please take your time and read carefully!

The wind element is both very cunning and unique. To answer what the wind element is will be a long but yet an easy task. Wind is the most versatile element in our universe because it is obviously everywhere around us. Wind exist everywhere. Without it life cannot exist. Where ever you go, you cannot do anything without wind. It can scientifically be classified as the flow of gases on a large scale (on the surface of the world, wind consists of the bulk movement of air). Of course, air is not a solid but by using our chakra we can condense it into sharp projectiles or even blades. Wind itself is natural flowing movements of the air around us. When not controlled, it flows in a delicate balance and is quite unpredictable. Being unpredictable makes you both cunning and deadly. The wind element also personifies one simple but yet important thing - change. Change is the entire concept of wind, because the wind element never stays still and never stays in one place. Wind represents change because of its interaction with the environment. Of course, wind being very peaceful can also be extremely deadly. Generally entailing serenity and peaceful flowing movements, wind can however be fast, powerful and greatly destructive. All that depends on one thing - how the user is going to use it. The key to taming wind is to understand the flow of wind and relate it to yourself. More precisely, you need to learn how the chakra flows throughout your body. It takes time and a lot of effort to achieve results, but once you have finally done it, you would be in perfect synchronisation with the element thus allowing you to feel the wind element when using it.

The versatility with wind is that the nature poses create offensive, defensive and supplementary uses through which the use of powerful gust that can have heavy force behind them to block certain items, or even redirect their path drastically. Theses gusts can also be used to disorient opponents and cause damages through pressure. Winds are often referred according to their strength, and the direction from which they are coming. The actual element posses the same properties of wind as in the real life, of course, with few additions. I am first going to mention its scientifically aspects. There are short bursts of high speed wind such as termed gusts; strong winds of intermediate duration are termed squalls; long-duration winds have various names associated with their average strength, such as breeze, gale, storm, hurricane, and typhoon. In the nartutoverse there are the standard, powerful gusts of wind, typhoons, whirlwinds as well as sudden burst of pressure. All of these are capable of great destruction and come with great might and power. As well the blade like properties and the speed of wind also works to one's advantage with this element making release the techniques both quick and deadly.

To also signify the wind element, the added blade like qualities of wind are very deadly. When using wind chakra, the user can mould their own unique chakra to flow against each other, as if sharpening, and it can add blade like qualities to the techniques. However, there is also one more aspect of this which I want to mention. It is very useful in many situations and it should be mentioned more often. Obviously the pride of the wind element is its ability to cut. Wind has proven to enhance sharp weapons by making them sharper and giving them the ability to penetrate more. A good example of it is that such blades can break through normal stones. Also, another good way is that you can basically channel your wind chakra into an explosive kunai thus giving it greater impact upon explosion as well as greater speed because of the wind qualities (which are sharp and fast).

Trying to explain the ways wind can be used is almost pointless because there are endless ways of how it can theoretically be utilized, however one must just be able to attune to learning how to use wind. Yes, it is very true that the wind element is mainly an offensive element but you cannot be restricted. One quote can explain how wind works - "The best defense is a good offense." Keep in mind that the wind element can also defend as well in its attacks, you just need to keep your mind open. When you the added speed of wind plus the blade like qualities, you will realize that this a very powerful as well as extremely useful element.

The wind element has an unique relationship with the other elements. Since it is an element that provides speed, when combined with other elements, it will enhanced their speed and increase their range. Scatter them or make them faster. Wind has a natural strength against lightning due to it being a natural insulator for the element, capable of dispersing it and preventing its spreading. However it is weak against fire. One of its components is oxygen which makes the fire burn. The interesting thing here is the amount of wind (air) you put up to the fire. With a small amount you make the fire burn stronger and spread faster while with a huge amount of air you will put the fire out. Because it contains oxygen it is unfortunately weak to fire, as I have already mentioned. Wind only serves to expands flames, however in opposition against fire the situation is different. The wind doesn't have sufficient enough cooling potential to extinguish the flames as water would and the air would only sever to hinder fire slightly, due to the force being applied to it. However when combine heading in the same direction, wind proves very beneficial to fire, allowing for the fire to expand and cover a longer and potentially wider plane. Wind is a good combination with water for sure. It is a cooling agent to water, as it will make it colder. It also can be used to give a water projectile more thrust power and speed. This is also applicable to various ninja tools, so keep that in mind. Likewise, water and wind in conjunction with each other can be used to expand the range of the water and also give the water release techniques more force, especially to the ones that produce large waves. Regarding earth, they are neutral but there can be some interesting usages. It can be ran through the ground, picking up dust from the ground, lifting up a dust screen. It can push gravel and debris towards your opponent or even making giants patches of earth float above the ground and such. Solidified earth like projectiles can have an increased speed when wind is behind them. It is not that important to talk about the connection when trying to combine wind and earth but how it should be used in a combo. When you use earth, your opponent is most likely going to follow up with lightning, therefore it is good when you try to throw an earth technique at your opponent and follow up with a wind one afterwards. That's the simplest strategy and the easiest one to apply in battles. Think what your opponent is going to do, against the offensive actions that you are going to throw at him. Make sure to remember that, because it's very important. In all my interpretation of wind, in conjunction with the other elements, it is basically used to strengthen the force and speed of techniques.

Now, last but not least I want to talk a bit about strategy with the element. Wind is an offensive element and obviously you have just been taught how it should not be used to counter fire technique. If you are interested in wind as much as I’m then be sure to pay close attention here. What if I tell you that my wind can work the way I want it to work? What if I tell you that sometimes, my wind can cut through fire? You would probably think that this guy is crazy. However, hold on for a moment there. Sometimes a battle in our role play has to do something with psychology and strategy. Let's say you are fighting a water master, who is able to use a technique which allow him to cause the water to explode; or he has a technique which allows him to control the water. Would you risk and counter fire technique with water? Of course the answer to this question is no. Your opponent is obviously going to use fire, forcing you to counter his fire with water. The moment you do that, he already took advantage over you if not worse. Most people just don't think outside of the box and counter fire directly with water. This is why sometimes, it is best to show your opponent that you have such knowledge about the wind element, that you are not afraid to counter the natural counter of the element wind, fire, with wind.

What a wealth of information!

At this time, I don't have much to add to that. Like I said, I don't have any significant knowledge about this particular element. You did however remind of a couple of things I had forgotten about such as the speed boost.

Other than that, you may proceed.

Good. Now, what can you tell me about the wind element chakra-wise? How would you theoretically use your regular chakra in order to create wind chakra? I suggest you sit down, relax and focus on your breathing. Try to imagine the chakra flowing and the processes it goes through in order to transform. Feel the wind flowing through you. Remember, fast and sharp. Those are the properties of wind. Describe everything you feel, to the slightest detail.

Logically I would think that wind cannot be created from one's own body like that. It would be more convenient for me to think that using one's chakra, you manipulate the air around you and somehow magnify or multiply its effects to one's own liking. Say for example, I feel the breeze flowing past me. I would then release chakra from myself (through my tenketsu or pores in my skin) and manipulate it by causing it to rotate around my arm or push it forward at great speed. The more I get used to causing such effects the more I can test the limits of its boundaries. For one thing, I doubt the air created by one person can travel very far without requiring extra energy and force. Chakra is a very interesting concept in itself especially how one is able to manipulate it when on other objects even far off ones.

But anyways you asked me to describe the feeling to you so I shall attempt. As I breathe in, I take in air and as I breathe out, air flows forth. Although it is slight, I can sense air around me as it brushes against the hairs on my arms, neck, and hair. It is almost like a wave. Rising and falling, rising and falling. It is almost like a rhythm. After that it's basically the same process over and over again.

Not quite correct. It indeed can be created from one's own body. A good example for this will be the Wind Release: Gale Palm technique.

Alright then, we are done with the theoretical part of it. Now, lets start from the very basics. First you need to master the basic manipulation of the wind element in order to move on to more advanced manipulations (learning the actual techniques).

The next part is a very important. I want you to focus at your fullest. Here is a leaf. The leaf has been used to help shinobi master their elemental wind chakra. I want you to first sit on the ground and place the leaf on the palm of one of your hands. Then cover it with the other hand. Afterwards close your eyes, and try to stay focused and calm. You will start feeling the pleasant breeze and the sound made by the wind. You will also feel it on your skin; it will be such an amazing feeling that makes you feel cold, but at the same time satisfied. As the wind flows against your exterior body, you will begin feeling your flow of chakra recognizing the relation of the flow of your chakra to the flow of the wind and your subconscious begins to affiliate the sensation with your own chakra flow with the sensation of the wind. Concern yourself only with the relation between the wind's natural flows and your own chakra, nothing else. Now begin focusing your chakra into the center of your palms. Make sure to free your mind. Try in a way to show your own uniqueness while doing this. Think about all those emotions that you relate to wind. Feel those emotions, become those emotions. Channel those emotions into your chakra as you feel it transforming into the wind. Once you reach harmony with your emotions, feel the wind slice through the leaf. Imagine it cutting through with one swift swipe, your chakra moving in two different directions. If you succeed the leaf should be split in two.
