I thought Naruto just rekindled his chakra instead of healing Gai completely. I don't think Gai's leg was healed. Although it does seem Naruto's hand was capable of slowing the process as Naruto's clones died within the moment while Obito stayed there for a longer time.

I think he's missing the point of Plot no Jutsu. It is because the WRITER had intended for Gai to survive and not Obito. So the writer wrote the plot to be as such. Plot no jutsu. Plot Shield works in the same way. Look it up, bro.

When an attack lands on the main character that could outright kill any normal character, they don't die. All other secondary characters die, but the main characters made to extend the plot can not die due to plot.

Gai was saved by Nardo. Nardo should save obito like nardo did with gai. yet, PLOT NO JUTSU Prevented NARDO!

Hold It! i would to like to point out that Obito was crumbling as he was talking to Naruto and after Obito crumbled and died Black Zetsu said this " though i never seen a worm Hang On like that!" when Black Zetsu said that he basically confirmed that Obito was using his Strong Will as well as the last of his Strength to say his Final Words to Naruto before he crumbled and died, anyway seeing how you gave up and told me that i win it's safe to say that Court is now over.

Gai isnt needed anymore, hes not even shown so why would plot save him? Obitos had a far bigger impact on this manga than gai ever will. If it was really for plot then gai wouldve died but obito wouldve been saved

It seems that you are missing the point here.
Gai WAS important. He was the character used to showcase Naruto's new ability to basically save someone from the brink of death. Kakashi only got his eye back. Obito should have died because the Ten Tails was COMPLETELY extracted from him.

It's ALL Plot Shields and Plot No Jutsu.
