On one thread they claim itachi is afraid of kyuubi and would only stalemate with him and on another thread they claim itachi one shots kyuubi

How did he win the duel if he died? I can understand if he was in a better position than sasuke but that still doesn't change the fact that he died.

What I mean is that itachi still bested sasuke even with all those handicaps. Itachi won the battle of skill and sasuke did not finish off itachi but instead itachi succumbed to his illness and died by his own accord.

There's a lot of Itachi bullshit in this thread that over hypes his abilities and feats, such as defeating Nagato. No.. Itachi, Naruto, and Bee defeated Nagato together. Itachi couldn't have done it on his own. Same goes for Kabuto, he needed Sasuke's help in order to start Izanami. Itachi loses to 10-15 characters in the manga, roughly around there.

Jiraiya is not among those 10-15 individuals, and I can guarantee no one here can tell me otherwise. When someone tells me Jiraiya's counter to Tsukuyomi, a legit counter, I'll concede.​

I think its more like 5-10, if that but ya I feel the same.

Itachi and kisame were indeed talking about jiraiya not kyuubi. So Idk how the hell people got that from. But... I believe either itachi was overestimating jiraiya or was lying to kisame so they wouldn't kill jiraiya a legendary sannin of the leaf.

What on earth is going on with this thread? I agree that Itachi is wanked to high hell and back by his fanboys, but saying that he loses to Jiraiya is underrating him to the zenith. If Jiraiya starts off in base mode, he loses low to mid diff. The only way I can see that vs matchup being debatable is if Jiraiya starts in SM AND has full intel, but even then I would favour Itachi to win.

1. So whats preventing Itachi from taking down Jiraiya once the frog spits him out. Its not an excuse it's obvious. Itachi doesnt even have to move. The fight is over in seconds.

Heres the problem with that: If Itachi was lying why did kisame agree? Kisame isnt an idiot and I know he would have fought jiraiya if he knew itachi and him could defeat one of the sannin, BUT HE DIDNT. And Itachi wouldnt lie to Akatsuki, he needed their trust to allow him to remain apart of the organization
