well as it's a mangafact that itachi died fighting against a 16 year old. An its also a mangafact that he's overestimated and its a mangafact that he isn't the strongest shiniobi..

He doesn't have the best solo feats, nor genjutsu feats, nor senjustu feats, nor tactical feats, nor taijutsu feats, etc.

So someone please tell me. Why is itachi even relevant after being dead for over 200 chapters again?

1. Except that it does take too long. Amaterasu will already have ended the battle.

2. Even without pain as a break there are other ways, for example genjutsu reflection which he used in Part one.

Jiraiya wasn't even fighting the Kyuubi he was training Naruto to control it by releasing the seal why would Itachi need to release the Kyuubi seal to capture the Jinchuriki?

He didnt, but all the jins they faced used their biju powers. They had to be ready for worse.

I never said he wasn't holding back. I read the manga, and you obviously do not because itachi did die, and nothing indicates that he won because sasuke wanted to destroy konoha. The exact opposite of what itachi intended so?

Itachi is my favorite character but that doesn't mean I think he is invincible. There are very few shinobi in the narutoverse that would beat itachi and I strongly believe jiraiya is not one of those... and thats coming from someone who also has jiraiya as one of his favorite characters. Itachi's arsenal of one shot abilities are overwhelming, having to deal with either 3 occuring at any one time is insane. Very few shinobi have counters to all three.

It took well over a chapter for Jiraiya to perform the required ritual to summon Ma/Pa. Reread the fight. In that time frame Itachi is more than capable of breaching the gap between them and forcing Jiraiya to move. Which would cancel out the summoning ritual. Worst case scenario is that an Amaterasu or Susano'o beads are required to finish Jiraiya and or his boss summon.

as a Sound Genjutsu well before they fell in it. There's a laps of time before being under it and when confronted with it. I.E. Even when it is finally cast Itachi still has precious time to end it.

Itachi amaterasued an entire forest. There is no amount of summons Jiraiya can summon quickly enough to protect him from that. He won't manage any at all but lets say he does. So what? They all get amaterasued.

How did he win the duel if he died? I can understand if he was in a better position than sasuke but that still doesn't change the fact that he died.

I Obito succeeds in controlling kyuubi itachi may overwrite with his MS.

Basically itachi has it easier to steal or deny kyuubi then minato.

1. The frogs have a mind of their own. Who said the frogs cant flee from Itachi until Jiraiya activates SM? They can use their weapons to defend themself from Amaterasu and let their weapon burn.
