When you're looking forward for a game that is coming for pc , you only think about the game and not the requirements , right?

But ... when the game truly comes out and you see the requirements for the game , the requirements that you see aren't what you have , so why does this happens? why when a game comes out , to work in your pc you have to play it in a "top pc gaming"? we just want to play a game , not freaking pay for components , right?

Lel what???

Technology is always improving. With new and superior hardware getting created, graphical technology also improves. It's called progress.

We don't want ugly and outdated graphics anymore. It's your fault for having weak or outdated hardware in your PC. Just go upgrade it.

Maybe you should just stick to minecraft...

Games with good graphics will obviously require good video cards/CPU's.

You must just buy a really good graphics card one time and you good for a good number of years. Don't buy the cheap low end graphics cards. I bought a top notch one in 2008 and I didn't need to change it till now, 7 years good service!

If you're looking at Nvidia Geforce cards, you must always get the ones that say GTX. These are the Extreme editions, built for graphics power. DON'T buy the GT versions, these are for low end graphics.

I could explain the bitrate and memory clock, but that's going to end up in an essay of writing and no one will read it, so in short the cards with the higher second and third numbers are usually the more advanced ones (e.g. 780, 790) Although Nvidia abandoned the numbers and their new series is called TITAN.

If you get any of the Titan Graphics cards (Titan, Titan Black, Titan Z), you probably won't need another Graphics Card for the next 10 years. PS4 and Xbox One is a joke compared to these beasts.

Although you'd probably need an Intel i7 or equivalent processor to sustain these kinda cards.

Are you saying that consoles are better because you don't have to think about the requirements because the game is made for the console?

exactly, if i were to, by any chance, crossfire 5 ps4's gpu it still wouldn't compare to the titan or even the ATI r9 series ROFL!

OT: They are there, as hardware rapidly improves, game graphics will and thus their requirements, they are there for a reason, so you can play the games with decent frame rates, you won't be enjoying yourself when smoke and particles, or detailed envoirment drop your FPS down to 9-10 with an outdated GPU. even so however, the GTX versions are sufficient and really good, you should look to upgrade your hardware so you wont need to worry about them for a while, that's the best you can do, the titans are too expensive, go for the GTX models if you're low on budgets or the HD raedon 7 series are also decent.

I have managed and maxed out some games even on the GT240 as well (which is a pretty outdated card) like gta 4 (this was the game i didn't fully max, as i encountered drastic FPS drops on certain location and explosions, i ran it fine on some mid settings with an overclocked core 2 duo E6600 nonetheless) godfather 2, brotherhood, AC1/2 (even with multi sampling set to 3), call of duty black ops 2, mw2/3, devil may cry 4 gives me an average of 50 fps with performance tests.

Even so, the GPU plays a major role in running games then the processor does, i have seen and done tests myself, in which i have tested call of duty black ops on pentium 4 overcloked to 3.6ghz with 3gb ram, ATI HD raedon 4650. Plus some other games like batman arkham asylum and whatnot and they work fine and gave me really decent FPS on high configurations.

Not implying it isn't important, obviously you wont be running games with an i486 and titan on top of it, initially, i'm mentioning if the proecessor does lack the required requirements SLIGHTLY doesn't mean the PC won't run the game with stable FPS, even battlefield 4 and gta 4 run pretty decently on core 2 duo, but if you wish for optimal performence then you should also upgrade the proccessor as well.

dude... when you play a game , you wont play it with everything in high.

if you just want to play the game and not care about graphics, then yes. of course!

GTX 780 and the Titan series?

Shit dude if he bought the Titan Black Z this guy could've gotten a top end gaming PC that would probably play anything for the next 5-7 years without a problem in high settings.
It's possible to build your own good gaming PC at a price of a extremely high end graphics card.

And gaming for the PC is pretty much only for the higher settings, be glad that they even have the option to lower the performance to adjust to your PC.
And what you're doing is having a console mentality with a PC, that makes no sense.

If you just want to wait for a game and not pay any mind to your hardware, either
1. Get a console
2. Upgrade the shit out of your PC
3. Get a new PC

And also keep in mind, depending on what kind of PC you have you might not be able to upgrade.
In some cases you will need to get a different case, a different processor or sometimes even a different motherboard to fit whatever kind of new hardware you might purchase.
