It's nearly impossible for the draft to happened again number one you need an agreement of the draft. Our Government can barely vote tax breaks. That point being said We had a scare during Vietnam because of communism and we needed to control other states so we could trade with them. Which is the most important part of capitalism. If their markets become closed our market would fall apart. That being said we have no more worry of a draft because our military also has huge benefits for going into it. Back then there was barely any incentives to fight. But now we have free college education, health care, homes, living on bases, loans, and many more. We actually have a surplus. Plus our technology is increasing also like drones (ground drones) which means less boots on the ground. Also fun fact even if you were drafted doesn't mean you would be ground soldier. That is actually the small percentage of our military. I hope I made you feel better (source college student)

Drafts have been done with plus America would not risk putting young people on battle fields as they once did who are not trained or prepared for war there would be to many conscious objectors and too many enraged Americans and would cause political black lash to the point the u.s could have a corrupt gov like I said it will take more than Russia and urkrine to start a war where America will need to start drafting
